I agree with most of what has already been said about his media presence and music, but in his defense, I saw in an article today that he encouraged his fans to donate to charity:water in lieu of birthday fan cards (he just turned 17), and they raised $45,000.

You know–I can’t hate the kid. He’s just a kid. But after running his mouth about abortion and politics and then saying that he couldn’t really give an opinion because he didn’t know enough–I’d had a little much.

@earrings: Did he really say that? The kid is deluded. I try to avoid all things Beiber.

in a word: yes.like all celebrities, I find him a bit pretentious to say the least.

I’ve never liked teen pop stars, even as a kid. media saturation=pure loathing.

@earrings:

Actually the quote is un-sourced and unauthenticated.  Do you have a real source for it?

@MissHoneyBun:

Yes a kid, why on earth is Rolling Stone asking him questions like that?  You’re blaming the wrong party IMO.

Fiance and I can’t stand him. His voice just cuts us both….so much that when either one us starts to sound whiney towards the other. Instead of saying stop whinning in our playful manner that we always used to know we say Stop Beibering!! HAHAHA

We do it so much jokingly that my mom has now picked up on it and started to do it to. By The Way I think the Ozzie commerical is funny….”Whats a Beiber?!?!?”

 Yes, he’s very annoying and wayyy to cocky! BUT yesterday I’m vaccuming and I just start blurting out “baby, baby, baby OHHH!” I was a bit shocked with myself.

 So the kid might be annoying but some of the songs are quite catchy. Now Britney Spears on the other hand? PLEASE STOP SINGING!

Fiance calls him Justin Beaver, too. He even sings his name in that Primus song if he’s feeling particularly froggy.

I’m just tired of seeing all these 40-something women go all cougar on him. But Pedobear approves! :p

I don’t know guys. I think you’re all being a little harsh! I don’t like his music but it’s not aimed at our demographic. So he’s cheesy and even a bit cocky. What kid wouldn’t be in his position?! I don’t get why people are so offended by him

I think the better question might be “Who doesn’t find him incredibly obnoxious?”
