This is my everyday hair. I blow out my hair with a big round brush and then use a wand on the bottom half. I’m lucky that my hair doesn’t get oily, so I only do this once every 4-5 days. I actually find that my hair is healthier this way than when I used to blow dry then use a straightening iron.

I know this is a trend right now, but it’s so easy to do that I’m sticking to it for the long term! It doesn’t take me longer than 7-10 minutes to curl, if that.

@letigre:  Your hair looks amazing!  What kind of wand do you use?  I’ve been meaning to try this style forever now because I have plain stick-straight hair.  I bought a 1 inch ConAir wand but it literally does not do anything to my hair but dent it a little bit.

I have natrually curly hair too! I wet it every morning, put some gel or mousse in and let it air dry (for 3+ hrs) lol. Sometimes I’ll use a diffuser. One time my hair was (very obviously) wet and someone asked me if I curled my hair. Geeze!

I can’t imagine that curling your hair does any more damage than blow drying or straightening it does.

ETA: I know they’re huge. Sry 🙁

I do the wave look or curled look a lot of the time. I wash my hair every other day and I think the waves look pretty! Straight hair is cute too, but not everyday for me, I like to switch things up:) Heres one of my waved/curled easy looks:

@annb9:  You should try a styling/curling wand. Seriously, they’re amazing. My hair is thin and straight and I have the same problem – curling it with a curling iron doesn’t do jack… the curls fall out in about 5 seconds.

I have a curling wand though, and it’s AWESOME. My hair holds the curls/waves, and I only need to add a little hairspray (as opposed to whole cans when using a curling iron).

Everyone says, “Trust me, my hair’s not like that” — I did. But girl, these things are great. Try it! 🙂

@jessyrez:  I don’t really understand the point to your post, considering your complaining about curled hair which has been in style for, what, hundreds of years?  Haha.  Anyway, it takes me ten minutes to curl OR straighten my hair, and curling looks like I care more about my appearance, so I choose to do that, typically.  I don’t see how putting in effort is a bad thing or something to be tired of.  Frankly, I’m tired of seeing peope that look like they roll out of bed every morning and have no self-respect.

Straight hair, lookin’ like a fool:

Curly hair, lookin’ all put together and whatnot:

I like this hairstyle better than the super straight look that was so ubiquitious until now. some women could pull it off, but so many just wound up with thin, flat, lifeless and damaged hair. it looked awful. at least curls and waves are pretty flattering to most people.

@Chrissy26:   Haha, thank you!  Sometimes they can be a pain when I wear glasses instead of contacts, because they push them down my nose when I blink!

I am so glad this is in! I spent most of my life hating my long curly/wavy hair because everyone else had cute short cuts or straight hair! Now that this is the look that is in, it takes me no time to do my hair in the morning

Hmmm, well I don’t see it as being trendy at all…I feel like most women rock literally any other hairstyle more frequently than this…. but maybe it’s because I live in a city with tons of people? Anyway- I like it and this thread has kindof spurred my interest in trying it

Anyway I can’t stand the pixie/bob trend. It looks good on about .2% of women who have it

I love curly/wavy hair on me. I have a lot of hair, but it’s thin. When it’s straight it looks really thin and has no body, but when I curl it it looks much more bouncy and voluminous. I curl my hair with a really big curling iron probably 5 days or more out of the week. It takes me 10 minutes tops and my hair is very healthy according to my hair dresser.

It would be awesome to just be able to wear my hair natural, but it’s naturally slightly wavy. And not the pretty kind of wavy. The “let’s stick out in random spots and be super frizzy” kind of wavy. Lol

I have naturally curly hair so I don’t do anything in order to get it to look like that except dry it.  For me it would be way more damaging to my hair to try to straighten it every day (I have gone through those periods).  It took me awhile to embrace the curl!
