…except for the Bee, of course
I got rid of facebook about two weeks ago and don’t miss it at all which surprises me. I’ll occasionally get on DH’s just to see family/close friend stuff like his cousin bringing home their baby (finally! He was a premie) but other than that, I haven’t even felt the need to use it.
I’m considering getting rid of Instagram too because it’s 50% selfies (WHICH DRIVE ME UP THE WALL), 25% food and 25% of things that actually interest me.
I’ve never had twitter.. don’t really feel the need to have one.
I guess I’m just SO OVER the need to constantly share things. I don’t care what your lunch looks like, and I don’t care to see the 234872 selfie you took this week which looks EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE LAST 847520 SELFIES YOU TOOK.
Rant over 🙂

Can I “like” this? lol
I hate social media because I don’t like people all up in my business.
And selfies are weird to me… like, if I know you, I obviously know what you look like. Congrats on finding yourself sexy enough this morning to take that photo.

@stuckinwonderland: Sometimes I feel like the only person that doesn’t take selfies lol my instagram is FILLLLLLLLED with them! I just don’t understand it. My 18-year old niece is the worst.

haven’t had Facebook for over 3 years best decision ever! My friends still have it and it drives me nuts that they constantly check it and post and totally don’t live in the present! Can you not take a picture of every food or drink and then have to show it on facebook!!! Ok end of rant! Lol

I don’t get the selfie thing either… AT. All.

@MrsTillerResq: Ok I feel totally old asking this, but what’s a “selfie”?

Tired of it, yes! I don’t share tons of photos or anything like that. But my curiosity does get the best of me, so I don’t know that I could get rid of FB entirely. 😉

I am SO over it. I went through FB about 6 months ago and deleted all but 30 friends and family members, like invited-to-our-wedding-level friends and family who I really do want to stay connected to. I don’t regret it a bit!
I also deleted my instagram a year ago. I did reload it onto my phone for the photo effects but I have no friends on the app. So, I can do cool stuff with my pictures and it saves to my camera roll, but I don’t have to share my photos or look at anyone else’s.

The only social media website I’m on is Facebook. I really only use for huge group messages. When my friends and I get together Facebook is just the easiest way to communicate in one mass message. Outside of that I occasionally look at pictures but I don’t check Facebook very often and could probably just get rid of 75% of my “friends”. I hate selfies but I am guilty of taking food pictures (although they usually only go into my scrapbook instead of online) when I make something pretty or unique.

@housebee: A picture of yourself. Usually constitutes duck lips, extended arm (unless it’s a mirror shot in which case, an awkward angled pose), a lot of filters, and a random quote at the bottom that has absolutely nothing to do with the picture.
And yes, I am tired of all that jazz too.
Wiki helps too.

@housebee: A picture of yourself. Usually taken in a mirror with duckface.
I got rid of FB almost a year ago, I never had Instagram and I use Twitter like once a month. I hate the oversharing and the drama. I keep in touch with friends and family the old-fashioned way — through phone calls, texts and visits in person (can you imagine?!). I had over 200 “friends” on FB before I deleted it… My real friends keep in touch, the rest were never really my friends to begin with!

I have instagram but no friends on it, I keep it just to myself.
Fiance and I have agreed to lessen up on the FB when we’re out together or say, camping, etc. I love taking photos but I don’t need to upload them all as each event is happening, lol

@MrsTillerResq: Like. Like, LIKE.
Seriously. Preach. I have found myself less and less on Facebook. Instagram is nothing but links to pics of skanky girls now (Seriously, I hit the trends accidentally on IG and came across some skanky model’s ass selfie, really?). Maybe it’s b/c I’m engaged and my paradigm is shifting, but I feel the need to focus more on my Fiance, pet, friends, and home as opposed to posting food selfie #90846896 of my dinner. I tune into Twitter maybe once a week to live tweet Princessses of Long Island, b/c I can’t deal with seeing all the teenagers on there with their poor grammar/spelling. Makes me cringe that they will be running the world one day.
