This is totally not wedding related, but I am sick and tired of my Droid Razr phone. It has been replaced 3 times, and I am working with Verizon now to get it replaces again. It just never works. They keep sending me re-furbished phones that have problems. After the last one just died on me one day and never turned back on they sent me the most recent replacement, and it has a crappy battery. With Fiance deployed, I have my phone with me at all times, and having it die on me is just not something I enjoy. It dies after about 5 hours and the screen has started doing this weird flickering thing. It is so frustrating. But that isnt the point of this post, does anyone have a Galaxy Note II? I am looking into getting one, and wanted some honest opinions about it. I have heard the battery is amazing, and considering I can only have my phone unplugged for about 5 hours before it dies Im sure anything would be an upgrade. If you dont have this phone, is there one you would recommend? Or anyone else totally hate their Droid!!? lol Thanks ladies!

My Fiance has the Galaxy Note, and a close friend of ours has the Galaxy Note II. They’re pretty much the same thing except the Note II is bigger 🙂
I personally love the Samsung family of phones (Galaxy S III here). They work great, have long-lasting battery life (depending on what you do on your phone of course). Haven’t had any technical issues for either of us.
Our friend’s phone did have a minor lighting glitch that corrected itself after a few weeks. Never did find out what caused it but has had no issues since. I will not likely have any other kind of phone after getting my Samsung 🙂

@MrsEsteyToBe: Awesome! I know Motorola phones tend to suck, but I thought that Samsung was pretty good. My battery used to last a lot longer on the phone I had that died on me, I use my facebook app to chat with Fiance, but I need soemthing that lasts longer, and when I called Verizon they told me that with average use the battery only lasts 6 hours anyways. Why they would sell a a phone with such a crappy battery life is beyond me, especially since it is advertised as a great phone with good battery life.

I actually went from an iPhone to the Note II, so it was a big change for me. I’ve been an Apple gal pretty much since day 1. I actually love my Note II now. I thought I would hate the size of it, but surprisingly it’s grown on me (the worst part if not being able to fit it in my wristlets). The battery life is actually pretty good. I have to sit and play with my settings because I don’t think I’m in power saving mode, but on a good day, I can end the day at about 60% battery. If I’m surfing the web on it A LOT (long car ride, bored somewhere), my battery (obviously) depletes much faster. The 4G on itis amazingggg! FI has his set up and he can literally go like 2 days without a charge (and he’s on the internet on it most of the evening at work).
I think the graphics are great on it. The camera is great. I love the S Pen — it makes scrolling through Pinterest so much more enjoyable & I love that I can just jot down notes in the note program as I think of them (I literally do this while watching Four Weddings). I’ve been meaning to really sit down and learn everything I can make my phone to do (it def has a lot more custimization options than the iPhone). The S Voice is kind of lame though. I cannot have snarky banter with it like Siri, but that’s probably a good thing. If you think of any other questions, let me know!

I’ve had mine for about a month now and I love it so far. The camera on it is great, and the size doesn’t bother me at all. I’m on it all day, so I do need to charge it every evening. I love how fast it is! Pages open quickly and documents download in seconds!

@louloubelle84: By evening what do you mean? I am not on mine ALL day, but when I am not at home I use it to talk on facebook chat, and I have to plug it in by like 1 or 2 pm. If it would make it until like 8 or 9 I would be ecstatic! lol

I do! Honestly it is probably wasted on me. I seriously just got it because of the screen size- I love watching Supernatural on it while I am at the gym 🙂
