I’m a big fan of the skinny jeans and boots look myself. If it’s REALLY cold I will even wear leg warmers inside my boots for added warmth. I also layer my shirts and sweaters. lI HATE being cold. lol

Are you moving to detroit or are you just going for a specific event? For a ceremony where he’ll be in a dress uniform, you’re going to want to be more dressed up, I would think. I would do something in the vein of Kate Middleton: dress, dark tights, tall boots, long warm coat, scarf, etc. Hope that helps!

Luckily you will be moving in the summer when it will still be toasty warm. Im an Alaska girl my self but grew up in the mid-west. The only think I can say about cold and fashion is learn to love layers.

I have a few sets of thin-but-warm long johns, anything that isn’t cotton will work, wool is the best, if they are thin enough you can wear almost anything over them without making it look bulky but still staying warm. long thermals, sweater, puff vests, and tall lined boots with good wool socks are a must

If you are moving to some place that has you worried about wet yucky snow look in to bogs boots. they are the best i have found so far for water-proof-warmth and they come in a bunch of super fun designs.
