Tomorrow, I have the most important interview of my life, so far. If I do get this job, it will be so much more challenging and interesting, not to mention a 50% increase to my salary. I’m having trouble relaxing………. any advice?

Oooh good luck!! Go over your resume and think of any questions they might ask you related to your previous work experience. Also, think about behavioral questions they might ask (aka do you play well with others.) Most of all, just be yourself (cliche, I know) and know that you’re halfway there if they’ve asked you for an interview. Good luck and let us know how it goes!!

Good luck! Just remember– they wouldn’t have granted you the interview, if they didn’t think you were up for the job. So be confident!
Don’t feel the need to fill every available silence, as that can cause you to uncomfortably ramble. Pause for a second before you give your answers– be thoughtful, but keep it simple.
Follow it up with a hand-written thank you note to your interviewer, sent later that same day or the next, with the answers to any questions that you had to check on and couldn’t answer fully during the interview.

I just came back from my interview; I think it was ok. I won’t have the results until March (it’s always like that with jobs in the government, they’re actually fast on this one). Now I can “relax” which means finish my term paper for the school semester, plan my wedding, get used to the job I started 2 weeks ago, before knowing I would get this interview, go get married and not worry about it until I get back from the Dominican. Yeah!
