@HappilyEverAfter54:  Definitely not! If you’re wearing nude heels, wear nude hose. I’d either go with nude sheer stockings with that dress and shoes or black shoes and black opaque tights.

I really like that lace dress!!! Where did you get it?

But I wouldn’t wear the black tights with the nude shoes. Wear nude hose.

I think this girl looks pretty good.  I was thinking you should just try them on, and take a picture, and then get people to tell you what they think.  Nude hose could make you look like you’re going to work.

Or something like this:

In no uncertain terms-avoid patterned black hose with a lace dress.

@FoxyBride14: the dress is by Jones Wear.

No nude shoes with black tights. Like others have said, wear nude hose instead.

ETA:  I think black tights with nude shoes makes even the most shapely, gorgeous legs look chunky and heavier than they actually are.

I’m gonna say no. 😛 Nude tights with the nude shoes would be fine though.

I wouldn’t do beige shoes with black tights and a black dress. IF the dress were another color, maybe you could get away with black tights and beige shoes but I’m not even sure I would do that then. I also wouldn’t pair a black lace dress with patterned tights. You already have a “pattern” going on the with the lace and I think that might clash. I’d go with opaque black tights and maybe some cute black shoes with some kind of sparkle to them.

ETA: I would do just earrings since the top is quite high on the dress. Maybe some kind of color in the earrings since you’ll want to bring some kind of pop of color in.

I did a google image search for ‘nude shoes black tights’ so you could do that and there are some pics…I think it would be just fine, as long as YOU think YOU look good.

Now, if you don’t like tights, then you can just wear hose or nothing. Are you going to be outside a lot? If you’re going to be inside for most of the night, then don’t worry abou tit.

I hate nude shoes, but seeing the pictures, I would totally wear dark tights with them…

You can wear patterned tights with a plain dress, or plain tights with a patterned dress. Its hard to pull off patterned tights with a patterned dress. If you wear black heels you can wear black (or fun colored depending on where you’re going) tights. If you wear nude heels you should wear nude tights.

As far as jewelry goes, I think you can wear a statement necklace or earrings. I would probably wear gold-toned but you can get away with silver-toned. What sort of jewelry do you already own?

I WOULD do nude/beige shoes with black tights.  I’d probably wear any colored shoes with black tights.  I WOULDN’T do black patterned tights with a lace dress.

Maybe if you did black but sheer hose? I think that would look fine! But black, opaque with nude shoes might be weird. I think black sheer would definitely be ok-send us a pic! I’d also say go with gold chunky earrings + a cuff bracelet 🙂
