Fancy!  We’re putting up the tree tomorrow, and we went to buy decorations for it today.

I’m looking for a good tinsel garland and topper, and I think that will be it.  Our tree is only 6ft tall, and most of the fancy toppers seem like they would take up most of the tree.

Maybe I should get a skirt for it.

Pretty! I went out with my mom the other day & she bought me a ton of sparkly silver & navy christmas balls and ornaments! She was like “When you use them on your tree in your new home with Mr.Ring Bearer you can think of me…” *tear*

recessionista, I’m planning to go with a silver/blue tree-theme this year, but Boyfriend or Best Friend wanted multicolored lights.

That’s fine, I had to get a color-changing snowman ornament.

Now all I need is a cat to bother the ornaments…

Our tree is in the mail! lol I ordered a cheapie 4 1/2 tree so as not to overwhelm Mr. Joe. I also bought some cheapo stockings, going to get a real wreath, and maybe make some paper snowflakes. I don’t have a tree skirt, but I might wrap a little blanket around the bottom, a la the Charlie Brown tree (the blanket is the same color too! lol). I’m getting excited for it! I also want to bake some nonedible ornaments (I can get you guys the recipe if you want. made mostly of cinnamon), but need to get the oven fixed first.

Your tree is gorgeous!! I just pulled my stuff out of the garage today, and we are putting it up tomorrow!! I am so excited!

Last year my Fiance and I fought so bad about the tree because he wanted colored lights because he had always had colored lights growing up.  I really do not like colored lights, and I like the ornaments to coordinate… he thinks it is ugly because it looks like something out of a magazine lol.  So we have colored lights and cordinating ornaments.

My tradition is that I put up the decorations the day after Thanksgiving (it now looks like Santa threw up in my house) and take them down on New Year’s Day. Mr. Nachos is a bit overwhelmed at the amount of Christmas lights, but hey, he’ll get used to it!
