I would probably just buy new pillows to be honest. Throw pillows are pretty inexpensive.

Yeah I would just get new ones.

Or if you really wanted to recover them, you could contact a friend who sews and get some fabric to make new covers

We also have a really nice couch from there that has hideous pillows! It’s strange because the couch is pretty modern looking but the print on the pillows looks like something from the 90s. We just always keep them flipped over so that the ugly print is hidden. I do plan to eventually get new throw pillows but haven’t found something I like yet. Sorry that’s not helpful- just wanted to commiserate!

I use any excuse I can get to buy new throw pillows, so that’s definitely what I’d do in your situation. I doubt it would be less expensive to get the pillows recovered than it would be to replace them.

Yes, I had this exact situation and hand-sewed new fabric over the “bad” side myself. If not, I’m sure an upholstery or seamstress place can do it no problem. It is nice to have one side that matches and another side as an accent.

If you’re not crafty, why not just stitchwitch (fabric glue) a nice pattern to the ugly side?

We have pillows just like you’re talking about (I wonder if we have similar couches lol) and I just keep them flipped over to match the couch and then add more pillows. I know our pillows have zippers on them though, so maybe yours do too and you wouldn’t have to have them recovered (that’s a waste of money).

julies1949 :  Yep!  This!  I’ve kept my nicer throw pillows over the years (like down filled but no longer go with my decor) and bought new covers for them and they look like brand new.  There are so many places that carry a wide variety of sizes of covers as well as colors, textures, etc.
