Okay, we also enjoy Star Trek marathons on the regular! We are giant geeks (love your shirt, btw). We too like to do pizza and nerdy TV night in our PJs. Another thing we like to do on Saturday mornings is listen to old jazz while we laze around and drink our coffee. We are enjoying it while we can, before we have kiddos waking us up at the crack of dawn. πŸ™‚

Cute!  I love the pizza pi.  πŸ™‚

When we find out we will have a morning off together (very rare it seems like!), we plan ahead and shop if needed to make cinnamon rolls, eggs, and bacon and sit around drinking coffee and usually do this “question a day” couple’s journal.  We usually do several days at a time because we don’t get to if often and we are still months behind.  It’s fun because we find out little things about each other still.

Also, lately, as soon as I mention being PMS-y, my husband goes and buys advil and a Snickers.  And he finds the ones that say “irritable” or something snarky.  It makes me laugh and it’s been happening enough months that I think it’s kind of a tradition now.

On days off together, recently it has been on Mondays, we have mimosas and watch TV.

Every year we make a calendar of the previous year keeping pictures from the same month. Makes it easier to remember as the years go by.

Every year after thanksgiving we put on Sound of Music and make Christmas cookies for friends, family and work. Then  set up the tree

sumshine.dawn :  My Darling Husband and I completely makeup a birthday cocktail for each other every year. Then we keep them all in a book! Our love in liquor.

Besides the obvious weekly TV shows that we MUST watch together (walking dead, new big bang theory, great British Bake off) and some new playstation games he’s not allowed to play without me there (we both screamed though alien isolation). Every Wednesday we make a point of doing something together because it’s the only day we definitely have together each week (he works nights, I work days) it’s never anything specific, usually it’s a walk somewhere nice, or go for a hot drink together and just chat and reconnect. Sometimes scrabble, monopoly or the chess board comes out but we don’t structure when, just when the mood takes us

We desecrate every holiday by having wildly inappropriate sexy time with seasonal themes. Not very cute, but we enjoy it greatly. πŸ˜‰

sumshine.dawn :

Every year on the day we met, my husband and I go to the same restaurant where we met up (we met on Match and then met in person the same day), sit in the same seats, and order the same drink and take a picture.

We have been married for 2 years, and together for 4 years. We’ve been doing this for 3 years now. πŸ™‚

Every year on our anniversary, we take a photo of us with the year number (we’ve used construction paper, wooden numbers, a numeral candle, etc.), and, so far, we’ve stuck to the traditional annual gifts.

Well… Let’s see, I have one that I do for him. The first Christmas we were together (had only been for a month or so at that point ) I was a poor student, and unsure or what to get him.. So I crocheted him a stuffed giraffe (I vaguely remember there being something amusing to do with a giraffe at the time, there was a reason but it escapes me now) and I’ve just carried on doing it. So far we’ve had a hippo (pink and sparkly), a  lion and a walrus (that was the best one I ever did). Not sure what I’ll make him this year. πŸ™ˆ

We also have pay day pizza. Every month on pay day we have an almighty pizza and ice cream binge. 😍
