Pasta, or anything that involves removing water from the pot?
I am still old fashioned, I mean I have like 5 strainers, big ones for bigger stuff like brocoli and boiled potatoes and small ones for noodles and spaghetti. I don’t ever used them.
I still use a towel, put the lid on with just a little crack big enough to let water out and hold the lid with the towel, holding on to the handles and dump the water that way.
I’m I the only one who does that?

I do not trust myself with hot water…so a strainer for me!

I always use a strainer for noodles. I don’t consider myself cordinated enough to do the lid trick:)

Strainer, unless I need to leave some of the liquid in.

I use one of these most of the time! Mine is bigger than this.

I always use a strainer, im scared of getting burned!

Strainer always. I have tried towel/lid but always manage to hurt myself. Ouch.

Just depends on how much I need to strain if I will use a strainer or just the pot and lid.

I’m glad to see I’m not alone in the Towel/lid department hihi

I already burned half my hand off trying to pour hot watter from a tea kettle on time, so I’m all for the strainer lol
But I wish I knew about other options!

Strainer for sure. Way to clumsy to not.

I had never even thought of doing it another way besides using a strainer! Good to know in case I’m ever stranded without one! Lol!

I just pour the water out… very slowly and carefully. I hate having an extra item to wash.

@pinkshoes: I’ve tried it that way too but somehow I tend to drop everything and not just the water lol
