Hi, bees! I need some help. I have delicate under-eye skin that seems to have taken a hit with the dry cold days of winter. No matter how much moisturizer or eye cream I use, when I put on my makeup, my undereyes look flaky and scaly 🙁 Do you have a moisturizing eye cream you would suggest that wouldn’t break the bank? Thanks!

Maybe something else you’re using is too harsh on this delicate skin and counterbalancing any benefit moisturizer would otherwise provide. Check your face wash and makeup for ingredients like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, both of which might cause that effect. Also, do not rule out an allergic reaction, so if you’ve recently introduced any new products into your routine, try cutting them out for a few days to see if it improves.
Try layering a serum underneath your nightly moisturizer to see if that helps. I’d try something from the health food store before something at CVS, to ensure that you don’t irritate that delicate skin. beauty Without Cruelty has a great serum I use in winter, and IndieLee.com has a great squalene oil I use on dry patches that has been a tremendous help. Good luck!

I can recommend Clinique – All about eyes riche. I have very sensitive skin and had also try skin underneath my eyes. It really works well!
