Congrats!  Moving after the wedding is a hassle, but you can do it!

I live north of ATL too!  Love it!  I reside in forsyth co, and taxes are much better there and schools are really good.

T lives in same county in John’s Creek. Great area!

Btw, congrats to your FI!  That’s a great school and program there!  My FI’s dad used to be a professor at GA Tech..he loves the rambling wreck and yellow jackets!

Welcome to ATL Christina!

HOLLER!

Mr. Scissors is getting his Ph.D. in the EE department at tech. 🙂

We live at Post Biltmore, love it, and it is a block from campus.

For cheaper student housing, try stuff on Collier. Don’t do anything south of North Avenue. Avoid Home Park like the plague. 🙂

I am just a huge fan of OTP north! (outside the Perimeter north)

It’s pretty.  You can be in downtown ATL in about 30 or in the mountains in about 45.  I love it here!

I’ll go against the grain and say that you’ll probably want to live inside 285. The commute in the morning is just hellacious. At one point I lived on 75 riiight inside 285, and it would take me an hour to get to my early classes or to Wednesday night chapter meetings. (On a trip that would normally be super short!)

Most of the complexes around have mixed reviews because people complain about the noise or random homeless peeps. If you’re in the city, there’ll be noise and drunk folks. Sucks, but is true. :p

I used to commute to Perimeter and sometimes to Crawford Long, and it wasn’t too bad.  Bad if you went in after 8 am though.

I gotta stretch my legs out here!  I need a yard!  I love it OTP and like going ITP too, but I’m down with OTP!

Depends what you want.  That’s what I needed, as I’m a mom with a little fella who needed alot of space to run around and with several dogs too (needed backyard).

This is a fun area to live in.  I love metro ATL!
