I’m the sports fan in the relationship.  I get rowdy during the game but I don’t get moody if we lose.

@MrsN23:  Yes our first fight as a couple was over Tennessee losing to LSU. We were literally screaming, and he hung up the phone on me–it’s embarrassing to think about! FWIW, he was just being a sore loser :p

I’m looking forward to football season!  It’s my last one as a student… I’m a little depressed about it!

I LOVE football season!! I’ve been a passionate fan of the game since my childhood, as both of my parents are huge fans. I am thankful that Darling Husband and I both love the same NFL team even though we met online.

Ha I am actually the one in love with football I can’t miss a game if my team is playing and if I am not working then I will watch every other game too lol. Fiance gets scared when I start screaming at the tv, he likes football but he is not nearly as passionate about it as I am lol.

I’m looking forward to it for once!  Last year FI made it so much more fun for me.  We go out to sports bars which have a fun vibe, and football is so much more interesting when you’ve had a beer or three, lol.

He makes it fun for me, whereas I used to hate football because my ex was such an ass when his team would lose.  My Fiance is laid back and never gets overly upset about anything.  This year we’re planning to go to a couple of Panthers games in Charlotte, NC (our closest pro team).

Our college teams are rivals – mine is NCSU (Wolfpack) and his is UNC (Tarheels).  At least we both hate Duke, haha!  FSIL is an NCSU fan also and Future Brother-In-Law is a Tarheel fan, so it’s the girls against the guys.  We have a good time with it.

I can’t believe this is me actually looking forward to football season.  Never woulda thunk it.  ๐Ÿ™‚

@MrsN23:  Yep, I told him when we first got together that I didn’t know much about football and wasn’t that into it.  He LOVES sports, all sports, and is very athletic, so it’s important to him.  (But not more important than me. :)).

He went out of his way to make it fun for me from the start of our relationship because he said to have me enjoying with him it makes it better for him; it’s a fun thing we can share.  It’s the first time in my life I’ve actually looked forward to sports seasons, because my ex was always an ass about it.  He tried to make me feel dumb when I asked questions about football, like it was over my head.  My Fiance explained it in a way that made sense without being condescending.

So I am now a sports fan, in spite of myself, because of him.  He keeps it reasonable, he’s not obsessed and he always cares if what we’re watching or where we’re going is fun for me as well as for him.

All guys should figure this out, haha!

Darling Husband and I both love football!  It is BY FAR my favorite sports season!  So looking forward to it starting (even though I might cry seeing Manning in a Broncos jersey ….)!
