Maybe savings bonds? Or a membership to baby play gym?

Books! & a bookshelf i you don’t already have it. Early literacy is the best bonding activity you can do to set up your LO for future success! Or bonds that they can cash in X amount of years, but money is a weird thing to ask for.

For birthdays and Christmases for our nieces, Darling Husband and I give cash and books. They have plenty of toys. For one’s last birthday we donated towards her ‘big kid bed’ and for another’s birthday we gave cash and her mom told me later that anytime they get cash to ‘buy her something’ she just puts it in a savings account for her.
For Christmas this year we’re probably going to go the book route.

My niece is 20 months old. For Christmases I hand make her gift. Last year I made her a baby quilt with embroidered squares. This year I crocheted her a stuffed elephant. Sure, she HAS lots of toys, but nothing keepsake like that! For her birthday I bought her clothes.

My daughter is 14 months. She loves books. We’ve asked for money towards a new car seat as we feel she already has lots of things and we have no room for anymore!
what about an annual pass to a local fun day out?

Swebs14 : ditto on the book suggestion. Also maybe new clothes/shoes, an educational day trip, or age appropriate puzzles.

Look up “felt board” on pinterest! I’m sure they sell these types of things, otherwise it looks like an easy project to make.

Maybe a zoo pass, or larger outdoor items (wagon, slide, little kid picnic table).. My daughter is 15m too and it’s so hard to give people ideas of what to get her. I also suggested summer clothes, not sure if anything will be out yet though. I’m trying to think ahead for the next few months and things she’ll need then, not necessarily right now.
