I can’t believe that Hanukkah is right around the corner!
I have been doing a little bit of gift shopping, but I am in sort of a pickle. My mother will be starting cancer treatment (early stage, thank g-d) a few weeks before Hanukkah. I am trying to think of a gift that will be useful to her during the next six months to a year. (She is doing both chemotherapy and radiation.)
I have heard that a good moisturizer is essential when under treatment, but I am not sure which brand. Would anyone have any thoughts? Any other ideas for a gift? Normally, I get her a movie theater gift card, but I want to get her something special.

@Cluelessbride10: I know those treatment rooms can get pretty cold, so a beautiful, soft wrap that could leave her arms accessible might be nice. I’d get a high quality lotion that was unscented (to avoid possibly making her nauseated).
I had a friend who had to do 40 treatment sessions. She decided that was more than enough time to try every flavor of icecream at 31 flavors! She went after every treatment and the manager heard about it and ended up giving her & whoever drove her free icecream and when she completed treatment the store threw an icecream party for her! It might be neat to do something like that- where she could treat herself after each one.
Oooo… maybe look up Advent calendar ideas on Pinterest. You could do something like that for her treatments, where she’s open one little box or whatever after each one and find a small treat. I’ve done Advent calendars for friends and put candy or small gifts like a pair of earrings or socks in each day.

@MexiPino: Thanks! She only has to go through six sessions so the ice cream idea probably will not work. (I love it, though.)
I really want to get her a cream but have no clue which one. I’m tempted to go to either Sephora, Niemen Marcus, Kiehls, or Nordstrom and see what they suggest. Aveda tends to be highly scented so I need to stay away from that one.
