I have 3 people in my life that I just have no idea what to buy. They don’t really have any hobbies and if they want or need something then they go get it.
1. My father in law- he’s retired with a pension, no grandchildren does and buys what he pleases. As far as I know his favorite things are popcorn and ginger ale.
2. Father-In-Law girlfriend- nice lady, all I know is she likes moscato (that might be my last resort for her)
3. My stepmom- she likes watching TV. That’s the only hobby I know of that she has. She does love coffee and my last resort will be a Starbucks gift card.
Bees, what is your go to gift for the hard to shop for?

For you FIL- what about a popcorn machine? There are some really cool ones. Or a beer brewing kit or something along those lines if he’s got time on his hands?
Father-In-Law girlfriend you could definitely do mascato or some really beautiful drinking glasses, massage voucher/nails etc whatever beauty things she’s in to.
Step mom you could do a beautiful soft blanket for the couch. A friend got me a heated one for Christmas last year that matched our decor and I adore it! If she really loves coffee then you could get an Italian stove top coffee maker. They’re awesome! You’d have to know how she makes her coffee now- does she get them at cafes, does she just use instant coffee etc and then you could figure it out from there.
For really hard to buy for people I get tickets to a concert or comedian etc that’s coming to town. I’m really struggling with ideas this year too though!

- Wedding: October 2019 - Chateau Lake Louise
Father-In-Law: Does he have a soda stream? Fresh Ginger Ale is AMAZING. Or maybe an air popper machine? Some truffle oil for the popcorn, or some super fancy salt?
Father-In-Law Girlfriend: I can’t remember where, but I know I’ve seen Moscato truffles somewhere. Something like that might be a nice twist instead of just getting a bottle of wine.
SM: A vibrating foot spa? Or a gift certificate for a pedicure somewhere? Of find a local roastery and buy her a bag of their house blend. If she doesn’t have a coffee grinder maybe one of those? Or a french press and a super awesome mug?

I’d vote for consumables or experience gifts for anyone like this. For Father-In-Law, what about a monthly snack box/popcorn subscription? Or could you make him and his gf a curated gift basket with the things you know they like – specialty ginger ales, moscato, specialty popcorns, and some assorted cheeses/teas/fruits?
For stepmom, what about a gift basket with assorted coffees, a to-go coffee cup, some chocolates, etc? Or a gift certificate to a spa for a massage/facial or mani/pedi?
