@tksjewelry:  I had to go back to the grocery store today and I went to a different one to pick up some things the other store didn’t carry. Guess what I found! Both the Samoa and Thin Mint copycats (copycookies?)! I’ve only tried the Coconut Dreams but they’re pretty damn close! I’m both happy and sad at the same time. Happy because now I can have them whenever I want. Sad because that means bad things for my waistline! 🙂

Thin mints!!!  Closely followed by Tagalongs, although I’ve gone a bit off them as I don’t find them as good as they used to be.  Thin Mints though seriously do have crack in them, I’m convinced.

And despite living 10,000 miles away, guess which Aussie-living lass will be receiving a nice supply of Thin Mints this weekend!?!  Yup, mum and dad are coming for their first visit to Aussieland this week and they just so happened to come across some nice girls selling the cookies last weekend.  It’s just going to make a sweet visit with mum and dad all the sweeter… now just hoping Customs and Immigration don’t confiscate them as you’re technically not supposed to bring any food into the country….

I like the girl guide’s vanilla cookies, but not the chocolate ones!  I wish you didn’t have to buy them in the combo boxes.

Oh man, my Fiance apparently bought some from a coworker, and they have yet to come in, but I am so afraid!  I can barely resist Samoas, but I have 50 lbs to lose!  After seeing their fat content, though, it makes it a little easier to say no, but still…  So good.

I bought a box of dulce de leche this year thinking it was a new flavor. But I should have stuck to my usual thin mint. My little brother loves the shortbread though.

@HappilyEverAfter54:  Thanks for offering to send the article!  I asked TKS in a private message and she explained.  If we’re talking about the same program, I think it could be perceived both positively and negatively, depending on the age and awareness/acceptance of parents.  Thanks again!!

I love the Do-si-dos! I’ve been wanting to try Thin Mints but I haven’t found any girl scout booth’s set up. Major bummer. Frown
