Hi Jen I am a hair stylist , this will be yr 7 for me. I think highlights sounds great, I would not go too bright though maybe softer like a honey shade and go natural with them (thin) not chunky highlights.

As far as cut you need something that you will actually go home and do, something that matches your lifestlye. Because if you get something you won’t do your self then it will never turn out good.

I would say definetly layers longer, maybe a few shorter in the back, cut arounf your face a little and start usuing root pumps and volumizing products to give your hair some life and body. You can go wrong with layers and fat curling iron. Throw in a few curls toss it upside down with some flex hair spray and whoolah, a VS model is born!

Show us how it turns out!

i think honey highlights would be good! or maybe redish ones? If you trust your hair stylist I’d say just go in, tell her what you told us, and tell her to surprise you! I’ve done that a few times and always loved the results 🙂

For me i like dramatic looks that stand out. I think really dark brown with some blonde chunks in it looks awsome. Thats how i have mine done. As for a more natural look i would go with the honey color.   🙂
