Saw it last night!! Loved it! They changed a few things, as they always do. The biggest thing that I didn’t like (Semi spoiler alert!) them leaving out was going into more detail about the Deathly Hallows.  That is what the book/movie is named after and they don’t explain how Harry comes about aquiring all 3!! I did cry a little during the movie, but seeing it at midnight we had a lot of people react loudly to many of the moments, and sometimes this ruined some of the moments for me.  It was still fun being around all of that eneregy, though.  They did a beautiful job with the movie. I’m sure I’ll see it again. Enjoy the movie! So sad it’s all over!!!

We are going tomorrow afternoon…. The first HP movie was the first movie I ever took my son to see so I wanted to make sure we saw the last one in the theater as well.

Are people seeing it in 3D or regular?

@Summy00: My Fiance and I went last night at the midnight showing (the theater SOLD OUT 1100 seats! Sooooo happy for them!) and it was FANTASTIC!!!!!

There was cheering, clapping, awww-ing, tears, and laughter.  Take tissues if you’re the crying type (or not) ’cause the saddest part (if you’ve read the books, you know what I’m talking about!) is done AMAZINGLY well and will really pull at the heartstrings.  (See, no spoilers!)

I will say that some things were changed and left out because of converting from the book to screen.  (Remember: one page of a script is one minute, and that page 95% dialogue.  Action scenes in a book are typically short, but are MUCH longer on film…typically.)

It’s an amazing movie and just FANTASTIC to watch!  I loved it and went in figuring I wouldn’t like it as much as I did.  MUCH better than part 1, in my opinion.

I saw it last night at midnight as well. Didn’t opt for 3D, I never really notice much of a different to be honest.

Overall I thought it was very good. Most parts were done very well, there were a few that left me a little letdown. But portraying in a movie what happens in a book is difficult and I think they did a good job.

I actually want to go see it again!

totally went to the midnight premiere! we bought our tickets the first day they were available.

This is my best friend and I. She’s the Gryffindor and I’m the Slytherin.

I’m not sure why these guys were dressed at hot dogs… but they were and it amused me.

And these are our guys, who tolerated our obsessiveness. I forced mine to wear a Slytherin tie. πŸ™‚

@Summy00: lol, thanks!  I was really disappointed I didn’t have the same outfit I wore almost 9 years ago for the book party (school girl skirt, white shirt, black tie, green cloak/cape) but this worked out just as well.  And, bonus points because my Fiance loved it!  (And I didn’t totally embarrass my evenutal step-son who works at the theater and was working last night, lol).

There were A LOT of people dressed up, adults and kids alike.  I wish I’d taken my cloak, but oh, well.
