I was on Junel for the last 2 years and loved it. Very low dosage!

Nuvaring has had the least amount of side effects for me.  It’s not no side effects though but I’d rather have that than debilitating periods.

Side effects are going to be different for everyone with every BC. I’m on LoEstrin24Fe. It’s a low dosage hormonal BC that has 24 active pills and only four placebo pills. I’ve been on it for about two years and I’m happy with it. I’ve had minimal side effects only, and it’s greatly improved my cycle. And because I take it every day at the same time, there’s always peace of mind.

I just switched from Ortho Tri Cyclen to Loestrin. I’ve had one cycle on the Loestrin, but I’m taking pill packs back-to-back because I just realized AF is supposed to visit on our honeymoon.

I didn’t notice any side effects with the OTC, but the pills were so small and difficult to get out of the container, I would always end up losing one. I found myself fairly stressed out this first month and a little more emotional. However, I also had a ton of stuff going on…prepping for parent/teacher conferences, finishing report cards, we had a big ordeal with the ministers for our wedding ceremony, and work had been hectic. I can’t say if it was the meds or not.
