For the last baby shower I threw, the favors were homemade pie pops, and they were a complete success. People couldn’t wait to get theirs. For prizes I did giftcards for places favored by the Mom-to-be (Target, Starbucks, and Barnes and Noble), potted plants, and something else. Sorry I can’t remember. Anyway, the Target and Starbucks cards and the potted plants went fast. The B&N giftcard was the last one to be chosen. It was a co-ed shower, so I wanted to make sure everything wasn’t too girly.

For the shower I am currently planning, I am pretty sure it will be ladies only. I’m thinking of making lip balm and packaging it up in a cute tin for the favors. Another option I am considering is buying some pretty macaroons and packing a few together in clear cellophane bags with a pretty ribbon. Food favors always seem to be a favorite. We may skip the games for this one because it’s going to be more of an elegant, vintage garden tea party. I’m not sure games will fit well with the vibe.
