My husband and I received a fillable lamp for our wedding. The base is a clear glass vase that you can fill with anything. The lamp part screws on the top of the vase for the light. My question is what should we fill it with? We have a very vintage/eclectic style. Please help us out with by giving some suggestions.
Note: Plants and fish are out.

What if you found some old fashioned keys and just threw them in? That’s the first thing I thought of when you said vintage haha.
That’s a really neat idea though because you can change it when you get sick of it!

you could change it seasonally- fall leaves, artificial pumpkins, snowflake or Christmmas ornaments etc
line it with scrapbook paper
memorabilia-old watches, jewelry etc

I love the idea of buttons or old keys. I think even along those lines of old thread spools. My girlfriend did vintage thread spools as her place cards for her wedding and I thought it was so unique and adorable. I’ve seen sand as a filler in those type of lamps as well.

i’d say wine corks 🙂 it lends to that vintage feel, and hey! it give you a reason to keep drinking good wines! maybe write the date on each one and the names of people (or person) you share the bottle with.

I was also going to suggest buttons. I think they look really cool in big clear containers, and you can probably find a bunch for cheap at a thrift store or flea market.

Color coordinated marbles
buttons ( its been said, but i love this idea)
I found this pic- its monogrammed. I thought it looked pretty cool empty, but you could still put something in there too. Oh, it might be kind of cool monogrammed like this filled with sand from somewhere you’ve visited (if you had sand from there of course)
