You take your laundry from the hamper and stick it in the machine. When it’s washed, you put it in a basket and take it outside to dry. That doesn’t affect how my dinner tastes…
She actually made the fire comment before seeing the houses. It was just “roughing it, when she realised the appliances were all in the kitchen.

I enjoy watching the show but I don’t really have any desire to be on TV, so I probably wouldn’t want to be on it. Do they pay you? Or do you just do it for fun?

Haha! I know you’re not actually rubbing your dirty laundry all over the place…it’s just the thought of it being there for me!

I went to the HGTV website just to check it out after your post. There is a warning about scammers trying to pretend to be getting people to be on the shows. There are instructions for how you can validate the inquiry. I know you haven’t even said you want to do it, but if you decide to be sure to check the page out just in case!!

Thanks for this! I haven’t done anything yet as I was waiting to talk with my husband. He thinks it’s a great idea…I had pretty much decided against it, but now I’m not sure again. It’s on their list of currently casting shows, so I think it’s safe, but will check using the link anyway.

It’s very much fake, especially compared to the original (there you are just have to be in escrow). Some participants are more on the legit side, but there are cases where they have just found expats to be on the show. Nonetheless, you get paid and it’s gotta be an interesting experience for sure.
