We had an early dinner, played games on the Xbox and had sex. And made it to sleep before midnight.

Best NYE ever.

Happy new year to all the bees.

Aussie bee here so new years eve has been and gone. Spent it with my extended family at the family beach house eating lots of food and enjoying a fair bit of alcohol.

It was great fun and I really enjoyed watching all the new generation of my family (cousins, nieces, nephews) interacting and playing with each other and having a blast popping party poppers, streamers and blowing whistles at the countdown! I also enjoyed my uncles yearly sung rendition of the classics! This time he added a new touch and danced with a broom whilst singing!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

My siblings and I were laughing at how what we considered a great new years has changed a lot in the last ten years!!! I sure as hell don’t miss the 200 metre taxi line on new years at 3am….

I just don’t go out on NYE past 7pm or so. I am terrified of drunk drivers. So me & Darling Husband have had a tradition for years of getting a big pizza with lots of toppings and celebrate that way.

I look forward to that more than I ever did to a party, in my single days. We don’t drink and it is perfect.

For the past 16 years my high school friends and I have rung in the new year together.  Previously it was at my parents’ house, and now we take turns hosting.  We have a game night, lots of wine, lots of food, and lots of laughter.  I was over at my friend’s house for that, unfortunately my husband was stick with a stomach bug so I was flying solo.  I’m glad the tradition is still going!  There is no one else I would rather spend my new year’s with.  <3
