I like to sleep when the blankets are tucked in on all sides and I can slide in and feel incredibly snug in my bed. My roommate my freshman year of college couldn’t stand this and even had a fit one night when she woke up and was tangled up in her sheets. She told me everything has to be lose or she feels trapped. So how do you prefer to sleep?

I like the blankets to be loose and free from the bed (aka – not tucked underneath the matress) but then I tend to “cocoon” up in them during the night. Basically, while I’m sleeping, I grab the blanket and roll so that the blanket wraps around me. Darling Husband doesn’t like it when I “cocoon” because I steal the sheets from him. 🙂

I cuddle with the corner of our down comforter…pulling it up high enough to rest my head on it. I can’t fall asleep if my feet are covered, though. Pretty much from the knees down I’m completely uncovered. I often wake up having snug in the blankets, though, from head to toe, so it’s really just falling asleep.

@mandb122: I have to have the sheets loose because I need to have lots of weight on me, but often get hot at night and have to put a leg out from underneath the covers.

@Mrs.KMM: My fiance totally makes a cocoon every time he sleeps! I work a different shift but when we do get the chance to sleep at the same time it drives me crazy!
@Mrs Sarah McK: I’m actually the opposite when I’m laying in bed. My feet are the only things I absolutely have to have covered.

@mandb122: I don’t know what it is. I get uncomfortable and ansty if my feet are covered. Always been that way…I have friends that wear socks to bed, and I shudder just thinking about it.

I’m a weirdo. I sleep with one leg under the covers and the other on top. Fiance thinks I’m a nutcase, but he’s gotten used to it over the years. haha. I also HAVE to start out sleeping on a specific side with my knees bent. Yes, one bent under the covers and the other bent on top. Haha

I like to keep my feet out of the blankets. Darling Husband, on the other hand, has to be all tucked in!

I used to love being completely tucked under the covers, but now with our memory foam mattress, I find that I get so warm with it that I have to sleep loose and free!

I used to sleep all tucked in as a kid, totally loved it. Nowadays, I love having the comforter tucked under my feet, but if I can’t freely move my legs and the rest of me at will within the bedcovers, I can’t stand it.
The first thing I do whenever I stay at a hotel is untuck all the sheets so I don’t have to deal with it later when I’m tired.

Tucked in, but so much so that I have a habit of stealing the duvet. Fiance says my PJs must be made of velcro as where ever I move so does the duvet lol.

I like the end of the bed tucked in, but not the sides. My partner likes to stick his feet out from under the blankets though, so no tuckies for me, loose and free in our house.
