We are working on our new budget now that we are married and can’t believe how expensive our cellular service is and wanted to see what other folks are paying.
We are with Verizon Wireless and like them. We haven’t had any problems that many other people complain about, be the bill seems high to us.
For both our phones on one bill, we pay $175.00 per month. We have unlimited calls, texts, and web access.
What are you paying, who’s your provider, and what’s does your plan offer?

I am lucky enough to have a cell through work. I believe DH pays about $85/month through AT&T. He has unlimited everything.

F-ing so much. 180 for two smart phones, 4 GB of data and a regular cell for a family member (would be 150 without the 3rd line). We’re on Verizon

$71 for my iPhone with Sprint. I get a decent discount through my employer. I do not use my personal phone for business. I have a Blackberry that’s directly managed and paid for by my employer.
I get 600 minutes (I don’t talk on the phone a lot – only to my parents) and unlimited data. I know my bill will jump when Fiance and I combine plans. I really don’t care for having a cell phone… but I guess I’ll keep it.

@HereWeGo: TOO MUCH!! It’s something we fret over every month. With two phones we pay about $225 – but this includes mobile hot spot on FI’s phone. Unfortunately we live in an area where Verizon is the only service that gets reception, so we don’t have an option to switch providers. I do love Verizon and the only reason I would switch would be to lower our bill. Fiance had AT&T before we moved and was always getting dropped calls. We have shared minutes (I think 1700, but also free Verizon to Verizon calls and 20 friends and family #’s we added that are free to call. All in all, more minutes than we could ever use), unlimited text, Fiance has unlimited data and I have 3 gigs data.

Wow!! What a rip. Can’t believe how expensive it is for everyone. We seriously thought we were over-paying, but it looks to be about par for everyone else as well. :-/
Thanks for your input.

$220 for five lines on Sprint w/unlimited data, texting 1500 shared anytime minutes and 4 smart phones.
Sprint doesn’t pull that a la carte BS and I get a 25% discount through my old employer, one of the highest in the industry. That’s why I will never leave Sprint even though their service SUCKS.

I just changed our plan, so it should be like $250 for five lines. We have unlimited talk and text and we share 15 gbs of data. I have AT&T. I used to have Verizon but the service were my SO lives is not the greatest.

$40/month for Sprint unlimited data/text/sprint mobile to mobile, nights at 7pm, and 500 day time minutes.

@HereWeGo: $29.95/month (exactly) for 1200 minutes, 3000 texts and 250mb of data. No contract either! I track my minutes and texts and I have never come any where close to maxing out. It’s not a web surfing type of phone though.

If I upgraded my phone I could actually read my emails, but I have no need for that. I’m at a computer all day at work.
(H’s Android is paid for by his work.)

$6. I have a prepaid line and the service is cheap here… I spend about $6 in “recargas” each month. I probably make an average of 10 minutes of calls per day, and about 20 texts.
Fiance has a regular, post-paid line, so his is a little higher. Maybe $15 a month? He texts a little more than me, too.
One thing I’ve learned living in Central America is that I don’t need everything I thought I did… I used to pay $150 for two phone lines is NYC. One basic, and one with unlimited texting, web, etc. If you don’t need web for work (in which case they should pay for it), try to cut it down or cut it out all together.
