Once a year at the most. I like my hair long and I’m just too cheap to go get it cut. I got it cut in January, but I donated and I’m still waiting for my hair to get long. I will probably wait well past a year before I even trim it.

once or twice a year. i know it’s supposed to be done more often (i’m a hair stylist), but whatever. i’m not one of those girls who only wants 1/16 of an inch trimmed. when i get my hair cut, i get it CUT. i chop it all off (a short bob or pixie), grow it out until i can’t stand it anymore (which is around shoulder length) and then chop it off again and the cycle continues. and in between my major hair cuts, i will cut it myself just to clean it up a bit.

Not enough! If I was less poor it might be more often, and definately with a better hair stylist!

- Wedding: May 2013 - Pavilion overlooking golf course scenery, reception at banquet hall
I’ve always wanted really long hair, but about once a year I always seem to get a hair stylist who doesn’t understand what I want and chops off WAY too much. Like, I got my hair cut and layered in June 2012 and it is just NOW (Oct 2013!!) back to where it was before that idiot cut it.
I used to get haircuts pretty religiously every 6-8 weeks, and noticed ZERO growth. In fact, it was shrinking. So, my last haircut was in April (month before wedding) and as of October I still haven’t had another. I might get a 1/4 inch trim in November just to even out the ends again, but I’m going to be very sparse with cuts from now on. I’m finally starting to notice true growth and I don’t want to lose it!

I usually get it cut when I have an event to attend, which usually ends up being every 3 months or so. I’ll get my hair cut and done for the first summer wedding (so Juneish), then again for my birthday (September) unless we have a September wedding to attend. Then again for the office Christmas party in November, then usually 1 – 2 times between the Christmas party and wedding season. We try to go to the ballet/opera/theatre at least once a year and it usually ends up being in February or March. If it looks like it needs it though and there’s no event coming up I’ll have it cut for date night. I finally found a stylist I love, but she ain’t cheap and I just can’t justify spending that much on a hair cut for no reason. She doesn’t charge extra for a style, as long as it’s not an updo.

6-8 weeks, cut and color (blonde is hard to fake haha)

OK, I feel better about my laziness with haircuts after seeing some of your responses 🙂
I *should* go every 12-14 weeks, but that rarely happens. I just got my hair trimmed last week, and it had been 5 months. I’m growing my hair out, so it doesn’t really need regular style maintenance, and I’ve never colored it. I get a trim when it starts feeling dry at the ends (I try to catch it before split ends start happening, but I’ve been really bad about that in the past). Now that I’ve had a trim, I’ll probably wait until at least February for another trim. I also rarely heat-style or use many products.

Like once a year… maybe. It might be closer to two years at the moment…

An actual cut? Every 2 years. Trim maybe every 6 months. I only get my hair trimmed when I get to level 6 on the Ulta Rewards so it’s free.

Maybe twice a year… I have long hair and I probably should have it trimmed more often but … I’m poor and I have a slight phobia of having my hait cut.

I try to cut my hair every 6-8 weeks (as well as have a moisturising treatment), but I’ve occasionally gone longer.

My Future Mother-In-Law is a hairdresser and has a buisness in her basement. You would think that I get my hair cut often because of this, but it’s actually the opposite! I get my hair cut whenever she can squeeze me in. Usually I just wait for her to say that I really need it cut (thanks, does it look that bad? Haha) . But I do get it cut for free, so that’s awesome 🙂

@Gemstone: I am in the years long process of growing mine out. 2 years ago (in Dec.) I cut 16 inches off. That was up to the top of my neck in the back. Naturally I instantly regretted it (as I always do, so why can’t I learn?!) I still have about 6 inches to go before I get back to where I was, so I’m only getting a trim about once every 6 months. Well, my aim is always 3 or 4 months, but I’m really that much of a procrastinator. I know it would grow faster if I got my trims like I’m supposed to, but I suck.
