I’m the youngest in the office. I’m 22 and everyone else is 26 and up.

For the few years I used to work (before starting grad school) I was the youngest person at all of my jobs. And not only that, I held supervisory positions. So I’ve gotten used to being the youngest. In school now, most people are my age or older. I am 23.

    I’m 27 and the youngest.

There is a guy I work with who is 28…then the next person close to our age is in his 40’s.

Everyone else is in their 50s or 60s.

I work for an accounting firm and financial planning firm. I’m the office manager of both companies. I feel like I’m pretty young for the position I have. In my case, age was a factor in my favor. The company wants to start bringing in younger people because the partners are getting ready to retire so there will be a lot of transition in the next 5 years or so. There are 10-12 employees depending on the time of year.

It’s a mixed bag of ages at my workplace. However, the coworkers I sit closest by are about ten years older than me.

I’m 23 and I’m the youngest. My boss is 60, and the two guys on my shift are 49 and 64. Our salesman is 53 and our Admin is 26. On the other shift the guys are 28, 43 and 55. So yeah, I’m the baby, lol. Oddly enough it’s the best group of coworkers I’ve ever had. I call the two guys on my shift my work Dad and my work Grandpa and we get along very well. They definitely respect me because I’ve proven to them that I’m honest, reliable and that I know my stuff. For me it’s great because I will be able to move up the ladder quickly when they start to retire and in the meantime I can learn a lot from them.

Of all my 27 fellow sales reps, I am the third youngest. But none of us are over 50 so I’d say we’re a relatively young group.

I love that my job is all about the same age in their 20s…it makes it way more fun!  When we have old people sub in it just doesent sync right for my active fast paced job

The oldest person working at my branch is 58 and the youngest is 24 or 25. So we are a wide range of ages. But almost every place I have worked at everyone has always been older with me being the youngest.

@peachacid:  I don’t have any co-workers as my job involves visiting my clients in their homes.  So I voted that they are all much older.  It puts my group in the 65-104 year old range.

@peachacid:  I work at an urban charter school! We have two main groupings of people in our 55 employee organization. About half are between 24 and 27, and the other half are between 30 and 34. I think two people are older than 35 (they are in their 50’s).

ETA: I am 25 and my DH is 27 (he is a teacher, I work in administration). Our Executive Director is only 33. But for my direct peer group (leadership team), I am by far the youngest by about 5 years…relative to the department I manage (about 7 people), I am among the average age range.
