- Wedding: November 2014
It was my damn birthday!!
I really didn’t want to do anything for my b’day b/c last year my Fiance took me on a cruise for my 30th. We’re scaling back all around this year b/c of the wedding. All I wanted was to eat my weight in fried chicken and dumplins at Cracker Barrel! I started a hardcore diet again for the wedding, and literally revolved my week food and workouts aroud this dinner!
Here were some of the highlights: my chicken was raw, have you ever CHEWED raw chicken?? I had to wait for another order, so I started eating my sides which were cold and tasteless (as were everyone elses, had to send them back). By the time they brought another order for me, I was full on biscuits and everyone was done so I didn’t even want it.
That’s OK, we were going back to my mom’s for my faaavorite cupcakes that I’ve been looking forward to all week!
SHE PUTS THEM IN THE FRIDGE!! Which made them weird and cold and stale in texture. Dessert conversation was a pleasure, too. My mom and Fiance can be very argumentative with each other so at least 3 times I had to diffuse, “IT’S NOT UP FOR DISCUSSION” or “I DON’T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT!” I said I wanted to be home by 8:00 but was looking at a clock that had not been changed, so when we realized how late it was, FI literally rushed me to open my gifts and leave. I actually told him just to go and that my mom would give me a ride home. He finally scaled back.
On our way home I said, “Not for nothing, but tonight kind of sucked!” and how disappointed I was. All I know is that if the tables were turned, I’d definitely tell him we need a re-do. But no, all I got was “Yeah, I had a feeling it might”. WHAT!??!?!?!????
Anyway, there you have it. I just needed to get it out on “paper”!!! Boo…31!
