So I’m totally over my current shampoo/conditioner routine (Redken All Soft if anyone is interested) and I’m wondering if you bees have any recommendations!
The deets: my hair is long, thick and prone to dryness. Probably because I blow dry it every day. Plus I’m growing it out for the wedding, natch.
Wants: A product that makes my hair shiny, keeps it from getting damaged from oft blow drying, and will help it grow long and healthy!
Does this miracle product exist? I’m up for anything!
Thanks in advance 🙂

I suffer from dry thick hair and I love Paul Mitchell Awapuhi shampoo. I don’t bother with conditioner, only a deep conditioner once a month or so.

I live by the Aveda Dry Remedy, its done wonders for my hair. I blow dry and flat iron 4-5 times per week.

@CatyLady: This is exactly what I was going to say! I’d also add a deep conditioner every couple of weeks 😀

Your budget is probably higher than mine, but as a budget shopper, my old stylist recommended Tresemme and I’ve been really, really happy with it since then. I just switched from ‘gentle cleansing’ (what I use in the summer when my hair is more oily) to ‘deep moisturising’ (which I use in the winter when my hair is drier). They have a natural line too, which is a little more expensive.

To be honest, my hair sounds very similiar to yours. I use Loreal Vive pro, the pink kind for dry hair.
I love it! I can blow dry and straighten it every morning and my hair stays soft and shiny. My hair dresser actually didn’t believe that I style mine all the time.

I like John Frieda as well!

I use Herbal Essence. lol. I switch it up from the moisurizing to the volume one depending on the season.

ahhh you bees are wonderful, I haven’t tried any of the ones you’ve all recommended so I’m excited to start experimenting! Like I said, I love the redken products but after a while it’s like my hair notices I like something and starts acting up on me!

I am in love with WEN by Chaz Dean. It’s a bit expensive and very different than traditional shampoo/conditioner, but once you get the hang of it, it’s great! I blow dry my hair daily and it’s super soft and manageable now. With WEN, you don’t need a separate conditioner as it is a cleansing conditioner already.

@mandas75:that sounds intriguing! What makes it different, if I might ask?
