ME! I tend to flip out about very minor things…

When I was pregnant I got knots in my breasts (milk forming I guess?) and I was CONVINCED  I had cancer… like 100% positive. I worry about Fiance, I worry about Dirty Delete… I worry about everyone. House fires are scary… as are elevators; especially with the devil in them :p haha

ME!  FH and I have been waiting on huge job news for the past 3 weeks, and every day, I think today is the day and every text I jump.  It’s translated into total anxiety over everything.  I really hope he hears tomorrow!

Oh yea, I’m a crazy person for sure. In the sense that I cry over everything, make a big deal out of everything, and read into people in the exact opposite way they intend. You remember Amelia Bedelia? Yea, for whatever reason I’m just like her. Very literal.

It’s caused numerous problems in our relationship, where I just see problems where there aren’t any. The day that I start freaking out over my “late” period is the day that I get it (ALWAYS!!) and I have once a week breakdowns over not being productive enough, or good enough (at my art). I’m always guilting myself about something, I blame my catholic upbringing πŸ™‚ I obsess over money, and then spend all of it because I guilted myself too much and needed to “treat” myself. I am in my head all day, thinking and rethinking decisions. I really feel like sometimes the wedding might push me into actual La La Land. I’ve been considering going to a therapist, but all theyve ever done is prescribe me drugs that turn me into a zombie. So instead, Fiance and I have decided to just take the crazy train and deal with it. Poor guy! πŸ˜€

That would be me!

I tend to get overexcited and worried and then my voice gets higher and i start to hyperventilate over the littlest things!  If the front door is not locked, I cannot sleep!  Poor hubby has been dragged out of bed more often than not to check the door because I just “know” that the door is unlocked.  What weirds him out is that more often than not I’m right!  That doesn’t mean he likes being forced out of bed because I’m too terrified to go check the door myself.

Currently I’m freaking out over my qualifying exams and the production of “La Boheme” which I am costuming and which goes up in three weeks.  Oh and the world’s “Olympics of Horses” is coming to Lexington and my costume shop is costuming the opening ceremonies and opens also in three weeks.

In the last nine months I have:

1. Decided that Fiance was in a horrible car accident and/or suddenly wanted to dump me because he didn’t call me said he was going to… turned out that he lost his cell phone on the plane ride to Detroit

2. Been convinced that I was suffering from a number of maladies, including ALS, MS, ovarian cancer, exploding ovarian cysts, migraines (I DID have headaches but they were not migraines), and peripheral neuropathy.

3. Also been convinced I was pregnant. Fiance and I are not sexually active, I am a virgin.

Yeaaaaah, so I’m pretty crazy, especially with #3. The thing is I know my anxiety is irrational. I am an educated woman and I know sexual intercourse is required for pregnancy. Yeah, duh. But that rational part of my brain can’t turn off the crazy OMG OMG OMG my period is late part of my brain.

Currently I am obsessing about sleep… it’s under control but I still have twinges of OMGOMG a couple times a day. I have been diagnosed with GAD but my doctor so far wants to try a non-drug approach… grrrr. I like quick results and I’m not afraid of meds. I guess it’s worthwhile to give it a try!

I have had the pregnancy freakout despite having an IUD (99.9% effective) and the strings were in place.  I was having nausea in the mornings and a strong reaction to smells, so I took a pregnancy test- negative of course.  So paranoid!

Haha I’m TOTALLY a crazy worrier. Mostly I worry about money. And I honestly think that’s why I don’t have any. Even when we do, I worry that we’ll spend it all and not have any. I also worry about my fiance. I’ve been like that since I was little. When I was a little kid I’d worry my parents were going to die in a car accident so I’d say I love you two or three times. I HAVE to say “Be careful” before someone I love leaves me. It’s crazy, I know. I can’t help it. I would LOVE to be a chill, go with the flow person.

Haha oh yes I’ve also had a pregnancy scare….even though we hadn’t had sex in at least six weeks I thought I was pregnant. Also once I thought I had an ulcer.
