Hi Bees,
I am going for a hair cut tomorrow. Usually I get a side fringe (bangs) but last time I think it was too… subtle? I’m not sure. I think they were too long. Anyway, I was thinking of going slightly different this time and I think I’d like something like this. I hope the picture shows up- its the first time I’ve posted one. See how it has the bits down the side instead of just straight across? I’d like some more pics to show the hairdresser but just searching for bangs/fringe brings up the straight across kind and side fringe brings up what I had. This is sort of… neither? Both? Does it have a special name? I’m clueless. Thanks Bees 🙂

@Brooke1226: Me too! I like the idea that I could just throw my hair into a ponytail and it would still look ‘polished’

@outofideas: I think you may be looking for “face-framing bangs/fringe”. Try a Google search and see if that’s more what you were looking at. 🙂

@outofideas: just bring this picture to your hairdresser. They’ll be able to recreate it if your hair is right for the cut.
Edit: Uhhhhhh I totally misread your whole post lol. Ignore me!

@Sweet_Tea: Yes! I think that helped 🙂 Thank you
mrspinesol Lol, no worries. I’m hoping this one picture is enough because none of the others I’ve found seem quite the same

outofideas: I called it a side-swept bang when I had my hair cut that way and my hairdresser seemed to understand…. I used to create it myself when I went to the mall hair cut places they could never get it right, so I’d just pull down my sides & give it a little chop (not that it’s a good idea)…

outofideas: I want this too! I didn’t know what to call it either. I said I want some hair to naturally fall out of my ponytail and I don’t want it to look stringy. Having that picture would have helped a million times over
