@PitBulLover: My cats like to munch on baby’s breath, so maybe that’s why I have such an aversion to them. But I put them on a specific table that they know they’re not allowed to jump on, so far so good, all stems intact, LOL! I think our dinner tonight will be lovely. Our friend who’s living with us is staying with his uncle tonight so we can have the house to ourselves 🙂 Although likely we’ll be so full from dinner we’ll put our on PJs, watch the Bachelor, and then fall asleep! LOL!

He knows I’m good with anything “natural” or lily-like. I hate roses, but the rest I’m good with.
I’d rather get a bunch of carnations over a dozen roses any day.
My FH is away on business. Here’s hoping he arranged to have some sent to me here at work. I think I will cry a little tear or two if he didn’t.
Terrible, arn’t i?

he bought me roses once or twice about 4-5 years ago, and since then i’ve only gotten “i’m sorry” flowers after he does something inconsiderate or i get upset, usually of the neon daisy variety 😉

@finnaroo: I purposely showed him a photo on Facebook from Oprah’s feed of these GORGEOUS flowers she got from Stedman and her dogs (5 bouquets!!!) with an “oooh aren’t these beautiful?? I love the soft colours!!!”. Maybe that’ll put a cork in the neon flower trend? LOL!

My husband gets me flowers about 3-4 times a year. V-day, anniversaries, if I’m sick or if he’s away. He generally gets a purple combo (my fave color) or red or pink roses. They are always just beautiful and I get so excited! I have a feeling I’ll get roses tonight. Can’t wait! When we were first dating (first year), he got me roses about once a month. So romantic! Now it’s only a few times a year, but means even more since it’s less often. 🙂
