That’s great!!  It’s always nice when you can save money somewhere!!  I love it when that happens!

In reference to the credit card issue, I called my credit card company to ask if they can lower my interest rate because I hear… “it never hurts to ask!”  and guess what, they did!!  It dropped 3% just cause I asked!!  Only if I knew to do that awhile back, I could have saved more money!!

So to you bees, if you pay your bills on time and have a high interest rate…just call and ask to lower the rate, the least they can say is NO and it doesn’t hurt to try!!

It definitely is a GREAT idea to shop around like this, ladies (and gents)! Even in everyday life things like this are a great way to cut costs – and there are ALWAYS ways to do it – you have two of the best examples!

Haha your funny Corgitales…I wish I was good at negotiating like you!  I’m to shy for that I guess or don’t have enough guts!  Sorry the card thing didn’t work for you though, it does suck that the economy is bad that stuff like that has to happen.  I just hope my company doesn’t to it to me anytime soon!

I agree, it never hurts to ask!! We also got a discount on our cable for considering going to another company. We had been getting a 1 year discount for being new members to Comcast, but our rates raised almost $40/month after that promotion ended! We’re now paying even less than we were with our original discount!

Corgitales:  You sound like my Bridesmaid or Best Man.  Her husband said he hates it when his wife (my BM) tries to negotiate all time.  He just walks away…I think he gets embarassed too!  Haha

I got a free MacBook.

I had an iBook for like two years and it kept breaking.  So I kept getting it fixed.  It broke again and I knew I needed a new one, so I called the Apple store and spoke to a manager.  I told them that I loved Apple and wanted to stick with them but I had been really disappointed.  All of a sudden I heard myself saying “I am going to need some incentive to stick with Apple or else I think I will switch to a PC.”  The guy puts me on hold and comes back and tells me they will replace the computer with a new model for free.  I was speechless.  I was looking for a 10% discount or something.  Oh well!

Then again, I probably paid for that new computer out of the money I gave them over the years trying to fix my old one.

Lucky you! That’s awesome!

It’s so good you thought to ask!
