@Lolasmomma:  My friend works at a salon that does them and she thinks they’re amazing, but I’m super skeptical.

@Lolasmomma:  I used them one time. Can’t say they helped, but the lady who sold them to me that I knew personally claimed she lost inches. She looks no different and actually stopped using them, but I don’t know why.

They SAY you don’t lose water weight because you are supposed to drink a ton of water while you wear the wrap, but I am not sure I believe that.

All in all, I wouldn’t waste my money on them because it is very temporary unless you keep up with them (and they are expensive–for 4 wraps it was $100). I wouldn’t even trust that the results will be temporary because they work for some people and not for others apparently.

@Lolasmomma:  I tried it once, on my abdomen – I didn’t really see a difference at all.. Here are some pictures – left is the “before” – middle is right after I took off the wrap, and right is the next morning. I would venture to say that it might give you some immediate results (like if you wanted to use them right before a beach party or something) – but as far as a long-term ‘fix’, I’m not convinced at all.

I have a friend selling the “It Works” body wraps too.  Its a total pyramid scheme – no different than Amway or Herbalife.  Their major MO is to sign up distributors who in turn sign up more distributors. (See the pyramid?)

Personally I don’t believe any of it – wrapping your belly with saran wrap will NOT make you loose fat and cellulite.  Yes your skin has elasticity to it so if you wrap it tight for a couple of hours it may appear that you lost a few lbs or inches, but this is not a permanent solution.

Remember, if its too good to be true, it probably is!

I think maybe for a quick fix but there is no way that this would be for actual loss of inches and fat,no way. I think it probably does work for a short period of time and I’ve been thinking about maybe doing it the day before my wedding for a little extra smoothness:)

I know a lot of people who swear by them. I haven’t tried them but I do know people who have lost inches, but I think that is mainly because they started using the wrap as the first step to start loosing weight and improve their lives.

I have to say that I LOVE their vitamins though. I took the ‘It’s Vital’ and ‘Greens’ up until they made me too nauseated during pregnancy. I felt great. I plan on using them again as soon as the doctor okays it.

I also plan on trying the wrap towards October/November because I have to spend a week on the beach surrounded by people who have never had children.
