We really like short, simple names, that are fairly common but not top 10 hopefully.  I know you can’t control the popularity of the names you pick in the few years after your child is born, but we hope they don’t get too popular.  We like:

Claire Rose and Owen Reed

We haven’t talked too much about names, so we don’t have a second choice for either.  We will be TTC towards the end of this year, so hopefully we can stick with these!  Claire especially has been my #1 girls name for several years now.

Well I am done having children, but I have four boys and one girl:  Daniel James, Mark William, Nathan Steven, Zachary Vincent, & Emma Katherine.  Thank goodness Emma was a girl, bc she surely might have been Boy Five…lol We had run out of names and people to name them after.

I am commenting to follow this thread. Hubby and I are far away from this stage in life, but we do talk about it.

For a girl: Blair Ryleigh (Blair is a family name of mine and I love the name Riley but spelled uncommon for a middle name)

For a boy: Marlow Edward (Edward is a family name for the hubs and we got Marlow off a video game a couple years ago and I love it still)

We’re pregnant now but don’t know what we’re having yet!  So far for boys we’re liking:

  • Wyatt Edwin (Edwin after DH’s grandpa)
  • Ford Holden

And for girls:

  • Olive Harlow
  • Everly Rose

Excited to find out which ‘sibling’ is coming first!!

We have thought about names as well lol.  We fell into the discussion after talking about kids in general.  Alfred will definitely be a boy’s name as it was my dad’s name and he passed away from I was 17.  I always planned on naming a boy after him.  And my Fiance would like to use the name Allison for a girl after his grandmother.

If we have a boy and a girl, they will likely be Alexander and Rebecca – those are our favorite names that we can actually agree on right now 🙂 Other pairs that I like (we plan to only have two) are:

Alexander and Maxwell

Rebecca and Alexandra

Rebecca and Naomi

Maxwell and Elodie

Elodie and Lydia

Henry and Elodie

Darling Husband likes very traditional names, if I had my way I would skew toward unusual/old-fashioned.  We’ll probably end up compromising on traditional but not super common.

Ruby-Redshoes:  This thread has made me realise that the names we have picked out don’t really go together nicely as a ‘set’.

Girl: Ruby, Talliah, Mia

Boy: Noah

I also like old fashioned names (Lilly, Harry, Violet) but Fiance isn’t keen

Darling Husband and I are a long way from having kids, but he loves the name Sephora for a girl….not sure i want my daughter named after a makeup store lol. I love Stella Rose and Natalie Grace for girls & Grayson James and Gabriel Luke for boys.
