Hello Bees. Fiance and I just got back earlier today from our wonderful vacation to Atlantic City. We were there the past four days and I had a blast! It was our first true vacation together. The title of this post is not to pout about the vacation, but to pout about what is coming next. He leaves Saturday night for the next two weeks for a work trip, it could be cut short as little as only a week but he won’t know until he gets there and gets to working on the things that need to be done. I understand that it is his job and he has to go so here’s what I’m pouting about. It’s going to be the longest we’ve been apart since we started dating over a year ago! We are also in a new apartment (basement apartment) where I don’t know anyone. Oh and did I mention I am the biggest baby ever! I work most nights so coming home to an empty, dark house just freaks me out! I am trying to look at the bright side, I will have a lot of time to do crafts for our wedding!
Has anyone else had a couple weeks to themselves without their Fiance or DH? How did you spend your “you” time?

I sleep on the coutch if hes gone for a few days and then Ill maybe sleep in bed some days but with the light on. The dog helps a lot if not Im not sure if Id leave the house on some days. Fiance does some expedition guiding so this is all quite often with no comunication.

Thismay be terrible, but sometimes I just leave some lights on in the house. Perhaps you can get some nightlights, a timer, or motion sensor. I hate coming home to a dark house so I just leave some light on, especially in winter.
Personally I like having time to myself. A few weeks would be alot, but I love being able to watch whatever I want, sit in a perfectly quiet house, etc etc.

Hubby and I work opposite shifts, so I am used to a LOT of alone time.
I love it. 🙂
Hope you can find a way to enjoy the next couple of weeks. 🙂

@naturalysam My only problem with sleeping on the couch is that we have the sliding patio doors and although it has the stick thing to keep it from opening it still creeps me out! lol. I will be sleep in the bedroom with the door shut and locked and probably with a nightlight! I wish I had a cat or dog with him being gone 🙁
@kerensa Oh I will definitely be leaving some lights on probably throughout most of the night too!
I enjoy having time to myself as well, however, even when he is home I still get to watch whatever I want, he hates watching tv and the only thing I have to listen to is his video games and we usually work things out for it not to be louder than my tv. 🙂
@Iguanatan We work opposite shifts as well. I’m night time though so most of my alone time is spent sleeping, eating, and getting ready for work. I’m sure I’ll find some way to spend it. We’re going shopping Friday to get groceries and craft supplies. I’m sure I’ll spend most of my time cooking, baking and crafting! By The Way, is your photo a picture of your bird? I have a cockatil as well. I love him so much!

I get so bored when I’m alone! If you have up to 2 weeks, could you “marathon” a show? I’ve been doing it with Grey’s Anatomy over the past few weeks while Fiance has been on night shifts that are 12 hours long. I just download all the episode and seasons, and watch one after the other.
Something to make you feel “less alone” while you’re doing wedding crafts!

@the_future_mrs That’s a good idea! I think I only have three more wedding episodes. of Who’s wedding is it anyways and I’ve watched every episode of My Fair Wedding on Netflix. Maybe they will have more wedding shows on it by Saturday. Fingers crossed!
