Today is one of my favorite holidays! Kitty Thanksgiving! Every Black Friday, instead of battling crowds (I hate shopping), I stay home and prepare a turkey for the sanctuary cats. This year it was an 18 lb. turkey. I cut it up and serve it on platters and they are so happy! There were some modest leftover and us humans had a bit and the rest is being turned into homemade turkey and rice cat food. What fun!

awwwww. Mine were sniffing around me pretty intensely last night but we didn’t have any leftovers for them.
‘I bet you made all your kitties really happy =]

That’s so sweet! I love love love that you did that. 🙂

Good for you Blue spurrs! what an angel you are! Alas my kittiebitties seem to hate turkey for some reason (and its not just my turkey btw, any kind of turkey)….for rescued cats they sure are spoiled!

Oooooh I am so glad there are people like you in this world who care about cats sooo much! I have always had a soft-spot for cats. My Future Mother-In-Law took in a mother cat and her four kittens who were found in the woods near her house. They were skittish for a really long time, but now they are all grown up and generally like people. We still affectionately called the mother cat “Mama”.
