So let me start by saying my Fiance does not leave the toilet seat up. His momma has raised him right apparently. However, I cannot say the same for the men I work with.
There are six men and four women that work at my office and we have a men and ladies bathroom. Despite the equal division of people there are times when men seemingly must use our ladies bathroom. While I don’t mind sharing (as long as certain aim issues don’t occur) I get extremely peeved when I enter the ladies restroom to find the toilet seat up.
I would thoroughly love to tell them all to stop use the ladies restroom if you are not capable of putting the seat down! Do they not realize that women do not pee standing up and I (and I’m sure most other ladies) do not enjoy finding a hygenic and creative way of putting it back down.

I never understood why women complained about this until one night my husband forgot to put the seat down. In a sleepy haze, I fell in. I am totally on board now.

Long ago I made a conscious decision not to let such minor things stress me out.
It only takes one sec to grab a piece of tissue and lower the seat.
In the big scheme of things, there are lots worse things happening out there.

@maureen9004: Ha ha same thing happened to me with a previous boyfriend. It is now on my radar.
@julies1949: This in theory would be wonderful however our toilet seat here rests within the backing and requires a crow-bar like tactic to seperate. Tissues and toilet seats covers end up getting ripped or dropped in my attempts to seperate. Even the foot use method is impossible due to the lipping on the backing.

I have also fallen in. I have also done the “I can’t see if it’s down so I put it down and then realize I’m peeing on the lid” thing too. Awesome.
I don’t understand why men have to lift it – is it really that difficult to pee in a 10 in diameter circle? 12 in diameter is much easier? They still miss. I don’t get it.

one of the MANY reasons I love Fiance so much… even before we met each other, we both always put down not only the seat, but the lid also! Everyone is happy! (And the bathroom looks tidier. And things are less likely to fall into the toilet…)

I’m a guy and I’m now so well trained, it irks ME when guests to our place leave the seat up!

@limeyx: I would like to offer a round of applause to you my WB friend!!!! Kudos!
@BackyardLoveBird: Agreed. Furthermore they are coming into OUR (ladies) restroom and doing this. How would they like it if I started going into the men’s room and leaving the seat down. Take that!!!!!

Fiance ALWAYS leaves the seat up, and I have fallen in several times in the middle of the night. ROFL I have just accepted that he does this and will not change his “evil” ways. I now make sure to turn the light on and check. LOL

Haha, yea I get a little annoyed too. But then I think… they have to put the toilet seat up all the time, so I might as well put it down. Works both ways.
