I wouldn’t worry about the red sole, it is beautiful and iconic. I think comfort in this instance is completely personal as you are comparing three luxury designers known for the quality of the shoes they produce. I find all three to be equally comfortable. I would go with the small platforms, I think you will find them more versatile.

They’re Louboutins, do you really want them to be your interview shoe? 🙂 They are a seductive, inherently sexy shoe (that red sole! the curves!). I just think they are so gorgeous and feminine, best to wear them where you can be as sexy and fabulous as they are.

“I’ll do shoes for the lady who lunches, but it would be, like, a really nasty lunch, talking about men. But where I draw the line, what I absolutely won’t do, is the lady who plays bridge in the afternoon!” Christian Louboutin

The red sole does make the shoe an obvious Loub. I do not find any Louboutins to be comfortable. I think they are more for fashion than comfort and he (Mr Louboutin) said it himself! LOL

Both of those shoes I would wear for work or dinner. Personally, I would not wear them to a club but that is just me. They are more of classic and “safe” shoe vs a trendy shoe I would wear for a night out. I think classic is what you are looking for so I say go for it!

I think shoe comfort is such a personal thing. I have wide-ish feet and most Loubs cut off at exactly the most awkward/painful spot for me. In my designer shoe index – they are probably the least comfortable. On the other hand, I find Choos and Manolos extremely comfy. You would need to try them, and I would honestly opt for the more comfortable pair given they are quite similar in style.

I don’t go ga-ga over the red sole like most ladies seem to, I’ve seen so many bad counterfeit CLs in China that I think it’s temporarily put me off any designer branding that’s so instantly-recognisable.

@barbie86:  I find his heels to hurt a lot and quicker than all my others. His wedges are also uncomfortable. I also find his flats to be uncomfortable! Call me a sucker but I still buy them.

With his heels there is something in the arch that kills my feet within an hour. His flats arent made well for my feet either but I cant tell you specifically what it is. I wish I knew! My friend has the bottom pair that you posted and she is a librarian and she says they don’t hurt her that much. I dont own either of the 2 you posted bc I’m more of a Pigalle type if I wear a “simple” pump.

I dont think they are flashy. I can spot most high-end heels so I guess that’s why I’m saying that. Manolos are usually very obvious and so are Choos. All these shoes are all over in movies, magazines, Instagram, NYC, blogs, etc. Maybe I’m an enabler but I say buy them!

@peonyinparis:  My friend wore counterfeit CLs at her wedding. I love her but I must admit…they looked horrible! Not to mention, the photographer kept taking pics of them!

@gelaine22: I would definitely get all (quietly) judgemental if I saw a bride in fake CLs. They are soooo ubiquitous here, and the fakes look even more uncomfortable than the originals! The thing with the red sole is that its IS meant to be a risque, suggestive look – and then when you fake that, it falls straight into tacky territory.

Incidentally I’ve been eyeing the Pigalles – how are they on the pain scale? Which height did you get? I’ve been looking for similar but more comfy pointed, patent black pumps for a while but the Pigalles are just cut so sexy.

I’ve noticed that some Louboutin’s have a heel that dips a little down and those were uncomfortable for me. But I have a black pair that doesn’t dip down in the back and I wear them all the time. I’ve had them for a while. The red on them comes off pretty fast if you don’t protect it. Because they are so simple and black and I don’t think they come off as OMG she’s wearing Louboutin’s. They are similiar to the ones you are looking at.
