Love this thread! So many cute babies!
Gomez (Jack Russell mix) – Gomy, Gome Gome, Babyman, Jomie, Jomathy
Diesel (American Staffy who came with the name when we adopted him, and we weren’t a huge fan but kept it since he knew it) – Deezy (this is basically his name now), Deezus, Cheezus, Dum Dum, Denzel
We have Buster-aka Buster Boo,Fuzzy Butt,Bubba, Snuggle butt, Fuzz Butt and Refrigerator. He once failed a doggie IQ test because he responded to his name with the same frequency as being called “Refrigerator”.
Ace, our giant labradoodle also is called Waggle Butt,Wiggle-Waggle, baby boy, Sprocket (he looks like the dog from Fraggle Rock) and Muppet because he is all leg and looks like he should be a puppet.
Back several years ago, I had a wonderful German Shepherd, his call name was Storm (his registered name was actually German Name vom Kennel Name). Anyway, he had such a huge personality, “Storm” didn’t quite cover it,
So, I started calling him Stormin’ Norman, you know, like General Norman Schwarzkopf. Eventually, it just became “Norman. It became our special thing, only mommy could call him Norman, and he totally answered to it.
We lost him at age 12 to hemangiosarcoma. It was so hard to say goodbye to that crazy boy. We’ve lost way too many to hemangio.
This is Denny! He came from the rescue with the name Denayu but had been called Denny for short and we both liked it. He has many nicknames: Den-den, denner, bubba, buddy, stinky, stinky butthole, butthead, furball, stinker, dummy, monkey, Denzel Washington, smelly, Mr. wiggles (he wiggles when he walks because his tail hits his back, it’s adorable)
I don’t have my own dog currently, but I see my SO’s family dog weekly and she feels like family.
Her name is Yuki, and we call her Yuka-Luke, Yuke-ster, Yukington, Yuki Poopie, and probably others that we make up on the spot lol. I’d say I call Yuka-Luke the most for whatever reason.
She is such a sweet dog and is always excited when we come over. Except one time when I came in with my hood up, she was very suspicious of me until I took my hood off and she recognized me lol.
Cynni, Cynnipoo, puppy, poopi, puppy face, the face, stinky face, beautiful gorgeous, BEEEEEEBY, pound pup, Animal, ‘mals, and Houndini lol because she was acting really sick one night so we brought her to the 24-hour emergency vet and of course, she was perfectly fine $300.00 later -___-
Anyway, here she is 🙂
We have a cat named Mako and he gets called:
Max, Baby/Babby Shark, Sharkboy, Mr.Boy, Mak Attack, Fat Babby, probably lots of things I’m forgetting.
ohmygawsh I love this thread!
Our oldest girl is Eva, but we call her Eee and I also call her Girlfriend.
Riker is the newest addition to our family by three weeks, and I’ve started calling him Bro because he grunts all the time and it reminds me of all those “bros” at the gym who grunt when they lift weights. haha! (fingers crossed I attached the picture correctly, Bee newbie.)
I have Ch Ri-Kar-Katts Treasure of Bywater – aka Treasure, Tezzy,, Tezzy Monster, Cat-cat,
Ch. Bywater’s Frigga – aka Frigga, Figgy-floof, Floof, Floofy Lou, Baby cat, Squeaky toy
And three kittens nicknamed the Homicidal Muffinettes!
When I first got one of my cats Baxter from the shelter, he had a kitty cold / RSV and was super stuffed up. He went around sniffling and snuffling against everything he was trying to smell, sounding just like a little bear, and it was so damn cute. So now, years later, I still call him Baxter Bear.
