I got mine done about 3 years ago… I am a D cup. I would highly recommend doing it! I 100% did it for me, but my now H and the guy I was dating before him LOVED them. I wore a bra while sleeping for the first few months while they were healing, it felt better to not have them move around quite as much or get caught on my sheets. I also had no problems with working out immediately after getting them done with a supportive sports bra. I had no problems with healing. I have since taken them out since I’m pregnant, but I often miss them! I say do it!

ahartig:  well, i had the piercings for years already, like 5 years, so i knew they weren’t healing anymore. and they weren’t red, but they got really painful and at one point, they were even warm to the touch, and a little oozey. trust me, you won’t miss it.

for me, healing wasn’t that painful, i used the H2Ocean stuff to keep them clean and made sure to move them a few times a day. there wasn’t any oozing or anything during the healing process. i didn’t have issues with wearing a bra, but i did sleep in a sports bra for a while just to make sure they didnt’ snag or get caught on anything in my sleep.  honestly, my belly button piercing was more of an issue with pain and healing than my nipples.

I just got my nipples pierced about a month ago so I’m pretty new to it. Getting them pierced was actually pretty painful, it knocked the breath out of me.

So far the healing/afercare isn’t that complicated; the only problem I’ve really had is that the piercer did not realize that I would swell so much afterwards so the bar she put is was way to small which hurt my nipple. At one point my nipple started to swallow the ball. My other nipple though is healing beautifully. I ended up changing the too short ball and now its doing much better.

I’m a Dear Daughter with small flat nipples and I find that now NOT wearing a bra hurts after a while. I did notice a big increase in sensitivity when touched, though because they’re still healing my fiance hasnt had a chance to really play around with them. I would recommend getting some cheap tight sports bras to use for the first month or two and getting a few bottles of H2Ocean, which will really help when they start to itch.

As far as breastfeeding goes I havent experience that one yet (and hopefully never will) but my aunt said that when she breastfeed her son with her nipple piercings that the milk would come out all three holes LOL!

ahartig:  I only buy my jewlery from reputable piercers/piercing shops. Anywhere that sells Anatometal, Neometal or BVLA are usually a good option. Always put high end jewlery in your body. Cheap stuff that you get at the mall or things that claim it is “surgical steel” you should be wary of. If you want to do your best to avoid infections, go for the good stuff that lasts a lifetime! The good stuff may be $30+ dollars (depending how fancy you want to go) compared to the cheap $10 pieces at the mall kiosks, but you get what you pay for. Your body deserves the best! Good luck!

ahartig: yay!!!!!

There’s a piercing shop(piercings only) in my area and that’s where I would get mine. I wear a curved barbell due to my anatomy. You’ll see what works best for you in time. Also, make sure you are getting the correct length jewelry when you buy it. Of course you know by now, move slowly when getting dressed/undressed or toweling off after your shower;) lol

Happy healing!!!

So here is my story.  I got them both done at the same time, and to be honest my IUD hurt less than getting them done. My boobs are bigger than most, and they were swollen for a while month. I could only wear a sports bra for that month as well. It took a few months for them to feel “normal” but they would always swell around my period. Now i’ve had them for i would say about 4 years and I love them! I personally would NEVER get them done again, but I am happy that I did get them done. It doesn’t really do anything differently for me pleasure-wise but they are pretty to look at!

piratekitten:  Oh no trust me it had NOTHING to do with your piercings. Breast feeding hurts especially if they don’t latch on properly. I know. My son had a short tongue tie and he never latched on properly. I had bleeding nipples and was in severe pain while breast feeding. I ended up going to bottle because i couldn’t stand the pain anymore.

I had a friend get her nipple piercing get caught on a shower curtain and torn out.  So I’m never going near that particular piercing.  And I’m a ody modification fan.

Have you considered looking into nipple suckers for nipple enlargement?  They improve sensation over the long term when used regularly (and I’ve yet to meet a “boob man” who doesn’t like big nipples), though it is a more gradual process than piercing, which is basically just “ta-daa!” and then healing time.  (Just don’t leave them on for too long, 15-20 minutes at a stretch 1-3 times a day max is usually enough, otherwise you can blister your nipples.)  I used to have pretty much no nipple sensation, and I used these for a just a little bit (maybe 1-2 weeks?), and it really improved.

I had one of my nipples pierced 15 years ago when I was 17 (yeah, totally lied about my age…).

I remember it was awfully painful to do it but it was over very quick. It healed pretty fast and I have never had any complications from it. I have no kids and have therefor not breastfed, so about that I can’t answer. No enhancement in pleasure though. My pierced nipple is no different to the non pierced.

ahartig:  I had a “difficult” insertion of my iud according to my doctor hah but I went right to work after I had it done! My best advice for the nipples though is to get the h2ocean spray because it helps keep it clean and it helps with pain as well!
