Don’t you have some sort of dispute process?

Send the landlord a letter documenting your version of the happenings on the days involved, assure them that you want to be good neighbours and promise to be considerate of others in the future.

Do not bring up the things that the neighbour does wrong-it won’t help.

2 wrongs don’t make a right.

I would counter-file with your complaints.  The office should know that these people are not exactly ideal tennants.  Plus maybe sending a little heat their way will stop the violations.

I would file official complaints as necessary – but not unless those things are actually bothering you.  Document your memory of those dates and include it in the file on hand at the office – if it comes down to an eviction situation, you’ll be glad you put your thoughts on paper.  They have to consider both sides.
