This is so totally not wedding related but I thought maybe you all could give me some much needed direction regarding…pants.
I mostly like to wear pants/trousers to work. I want them to be fashionable, crisp, neat, professional – you get the picture…but I can’t find any anymore!
Has anyone else noticed that they’ve stopped putting lining in pants? This just makes them hang differently and they’re less comfortable and I hate it. So my questions are as follows:
1. Am I hopelessly out of the fashion loop or something? Seriously…is there something I’m missing here?
2. Does anyone have any recommendations for stores that carry good quality, LINED pants for work?
Any advise you can offer would be greatly apprecaited.

In the winter, I can sometimes find them at Benetton. It’s hit or miss.

Jones New York sells lined dress pants, but they’re a not a stiff material.

Banana Republic still carries nice lined pants.
I have 2 pairs from them with lining. One a kind of brown tweed with cuffs the other a grey wool with no cuffs.

I really like all the trousers from the individualist section at Nordstrom. The stuff is gonna be a but pricey, but it’s top quality and always “in” with the fashion trends.
I think the straight “peg leg” look is what’s really in right now for dress pants. They are really narrow at the bottom (but not as tight as skinny jeans) and oftentimes cuffed to show a bit of ankle. Correct me if I am wrong, but I haven’t ever seen a narrow cut pant that is lined.
I have a high waisted linen pair of dress pants from Individualist and Nordstrom and I wear them SO much! they’re the best!

I have a pair of Ann Taylor pants that are lined. They might be Ann Taylor Loft.

Most of my work pants are from Ann Taylor Loft and they’re all lined. I’m sure the main Ann Taylor carries lined pants too.

I got a really nice pair of lined pants from Eddie Bauer (I believe).
Living in Florida lined pants are just too hot. They are nice for the winter though because unlined pants are really thin.

Banana Republic sells lined pants for work. I get all of mine at the Banana Republic outlet (MUCH cheaper that way)

I like Express and The Limited.

I love Ann Taylor’s slacks. They are lined, and they have petite sizes for us height-challenged ladies 🙂
I also love Banana Republic, but not all of theirs are lined.

The pants from Express aren’t lined, but they have a wide waistband and a little stretch so they fit great. I usually stock up on them when the store sends me those coupons for $50 off $150 so they’re a good price too… I love that they come in lengths too (I’m not trying to spend $100+ on a pair of “petite” pants for work–I’d rather spend my money on shoes and jeans for going out!). The only issue I have is that they tend to get shorter if you throw them in the dryer, and the hems can unravel, but they’re still cheap, good looking work pants so it’s worth it.

totally love banana republic factory store, but then i realized a lot of the items there are made with lesser-quality fabrics. they still look cute, but after a few washes, i realized there is a big difference between wool pants and polyester pants. i would stick with the regular wool lined pants at banana republic vs. factory store.
