For those of us who plan on waiting to have children, do any of you have a pre-baby adventure list?
I asked Fiance about this last night. We’ve got at least 5 years. He wants to fish Guam and hunt in Alaska. I want to go with him to Paris and Russia, and go to Japan alone (kind of a Lost in Translation minus old man love with a zen spiritual retreat thrown in kind of trip).
Do you have a list? What’s on it?

go to a wedding in India

we want to try right away. i feel like i’ve done a lot in my life, we don’t have a crap load of money right now anyway, and we have our whole lives ahead of us. but i do have something on the list for when we do have a family, i want to go to israel. i’ve been twice, but i want my fi to go. and since we’ll hopefully have kids, they can come too.

We definitely have this list, though we intend to keep going on adventures after babies too 🙂 Alaska is actually high up on our list, though we’re thinking a cruise. Tahiti and South Africa are our two dream vacations, and we’d like to do at least one if not both before we have kids.
Aside from traveling, we want to just enjoy being a young couple. Cooking classes, going out with friends, having our friends from college visit us and showing them a great time… the list goes on and on! We are very young (22 and 24) and so we see no reason to grow up too fast 🙂

- Wedding: July 2007 - Rosary Chapel & Monterey Marriott, Monterey, CA
We had quite a few things on the list… but the last one was “one last trip to be a kid.” We went to DisneyWorld for a week, and it was so perfect! 🙂 Got us excited about kids and got to play around w/no worries and burdens as well!

I think for our list isn’t so much going places, but accomplishing goals.
- I want to attend and graduate a professional baking program.
- Open up a bakery and get established in the business.
- Help Fiance open up a restaurant and get established.

Darn it, I wish we had had time for this. I love my daughter more than anything, but I sometimes wish I hadn’t gotten pregnant 3 months after the wedding.
So I suppose my list will have to be adventure of toting along the kids:
1. Visit Alaska
2. See Hudson Bay
3. Visit China
4. (ditch the kids for this one…) find a cabin in the middle of NOWHERE and stay there for a week, just the two of us.
5. Visit Yosemite

I want to :
1. visit Morocco or Tunisia
2. see the pyramids of Egypt
3. go to Africa, see a village and go on a safari
4. ride in hot air balloon
5. go on a helicopter ride
7. bungee jumping
8. go to Venice
9. learn Spanish completely and speak fluently
10. Learn decent French
other than that I’ve done most of the things I always wanted to do (live in NYC and do everything I wanted in NYC, travel and go to Paris, Rome, London, Greece, Barcelona, Munich, Amsterdam, Carribean; go skiing, fall in love so completely)
