I had to share this because I was so moved, it’s crazy!
When we went to pick her up at Petsmart where the shelter holds adoption events every Saturday, they had her cage out with the other cats in the middle of the store where everyone could see her. They figured it’d be easier for us to take her from there rather than the private area in the back where she’s used to being. She was shivering and super nervous around all the people, I felt terrible! Once we got her in the carrier and headed to the car, she was meowing in distress really loudly. Once in the car I opened the carrier so I could pet her while sitting in the backseat. She slithered out and crawled into my lap and up my body to bury her head in my neck. I was holding her and she went limp in my arms, let out a big sigh and started to purr. I cried all over her little head!! She purred the whole drive, because she knew finally she was going HOME.
Adopting a pet in need is one of the most beautiful things a person could do <3

She’s gorgeous! My kitten did the same exact thing when I got him (17 yrs ago)… and still loves to snuggle up in my neck to this day – there is nothing better π

SomedayHisBride: I’ve ALWAYS adopted (except for the animals I’ve found literally on the streets!!) I can’t imagine anything else.
LittleRed: Yes it was between that and Daenarys. We liked that Khaleesi means “queen” π
