Finished Franzen’s Purity last night, and I feel I need an antidote, so I’m starting Marilynne Robinson’s Lila.

Currently reading “Dragon Keeper” by Carole Wilkinson.

It’s actually a YA book, but it’s so CUTE. I’ve never seen a dragon presented like this (he’s weak and sad and small). The little banter he has with his child sidekick is hilarious. It’s just a light feel-good read.

mritz06:  SAME! I heard they are making it a movie. And to my great diappointment I will not be playing Josie Tyrell. A huge mistake by their casting directors imo. lol jk but hey a girl can dream? I even emailed Janet when I was in high school telling her that I NEEDED to play Josie. lol I have a friend who makes indie movies and maybe someday I will get skinny and bleach my hair out so I can play her.

My sweet SO got me a Kindle for my birthday, and I’ve devoured 3/4 of The Heart Goes Last by Margaret Atwood in just a week.

She is such an amazing writer, and I find myself stopping every few pages to highlight a beautiful sentence or passage. If you like any semblance of a dystopian novel, Margaret Atwood has some great ones.
