I think they are both an equal statement. I’d then choose based on which you’d wear more/get more bang for your buck out of.

Depends how big a statement you want to make. I think the red purse is more in your face and fun vs red shoes that would be a bit more subtle/sexy..

ETA* If I recall correctly you have quite the enviable shoe collection, so for you I go with the red shoes!

Well between those 4 pictures the shoes do because the girls are styled for the shoes to stand out, whereas the other 2 pictures the purse is part of an everyday outfit. I bought red shoes awhile ago to make a statement and I actually don’t wear them all that often. I tend to go for other funky statements with shoes. So I guess I’d lean more toward bag personally.

I voted for the red purse, but either would make a fun, bold statement. I tend to use my bags to make more of a statement than my shoes, so that’s how I voted.

I think the purse makes a bigger statement but it is also harder to get it just right

As another poster said, those pictures are designed around emphasising the shoes, whereas the pictures of the purses don’t seem to be emphasising the purse as much. I guess it really depends on the occasion – personally, I don’t have a lot of variety in my shoes, so I would be more likely to use a red purse. Having said that, though, I rarely coordinate my outfit, so I doubt it would make any kind of statement

I have a red tote that I use every day (also Celine but a more casual, bigger one) and I really wanted the red YSL cabas chic bag but decided it wasn’t practical because it’s so heavy. I find that it matches with pretty much everything – aside from when I wear pink and even that is fine. I dont change my purse daily as I do shoes, so I get a LOT more use out of it. I also get a ton of compliments on it because it really stands out. The bag is definitely the way to go. That Celine is to die for!!

Edit: I’m just not that into shoes these days because I live in a rainy climate so I dont bother with them. Can’t wait to move someplace try and slurge on something fancy! (and suede!)
