No!  Keep it a surprise.  He will love it.  I’m going to do the same thing.  Discuss the details with someone else so you’re not tempted to tell him.  Let him pick the lingerie, but make it sly, like have him pick some “honeymoon” lingerie and then use it for the session.

Dont tell him, especially if you think he might be mad about it! That would totally ruin the experience.

If I were a guy, I’d like the total surprise.

Noooooo….let it be a surprise!  I’m doing a photo shoot for Fiance too (not boudoir) and I would LOVE to ask him what he would like me to wear, but I know he would appreciate it being a surprise more.  So keep your lips zipped IMO ;o)

No! It’s so much more fun to do it as a surprise. you know what he’ll like and what looks good on you. You DID save money on it by doing the marathon and you’ve already spent the money on it.

So, likely, he’ll be annoyed you did it behind his back. But if you have pretty pictures to show him, right then and there, he’ll probably forget all about it and be like “oh wow these are worth it”. Otherwise he may be upset with you and you’ll go into the session feeling crappy.

I think it’s ok to keep it a secret and gift it to him for a wedding gift since you were so savvy finding the marathon. Plus, now that he doesn’t think he’s getting it…I think that makes it DOUBLY fun and exciting. I hate it (slash love it) when something I end up getting somethign I secretly wanted but relegated for the sake of practicality.

Trust me–you’ll know what looks good in the photo. It’ll just jump out at you!

I agree – keep it as a surprise =) But may I ask…how on earth were you able to save $$ by doing a marathon? Am I missing something here? I want to do boudoir but the $$ is what is holding me back.

Okay, I’m going to be the lone voice of dissent! You know why? Talking about the boudoir session, posing for him, etc, is AWESOME foreplay. Surprising him would have been great, but I would not give up the super good nookie we are having over this! My only hope is I can keep it going.

I would so no, don’t tell him. Take him shopping saying you want to find something for your wedding night or honeymoon and get an idea of what he would like!
